Went to KFC Leeuwarden last Friday with my family to have a nice dinner, but unfortunately it was not 'nice' at all.
First of all, none of the ordering screens were working, so we ordered at the counter. Ordering at the counter was also struggling as most of the employees barely spoke proper Dutch or even English. They also said they were out of order with a lot of stuff. No juices, no milkshakes. We asked for a simple 'tea' and we were told even that was not possible because the machine was 'broken for months'. How can you not have tea, which is literally just hot water and a tea bag?
When we picked up the order from the counter, it was incomplete. I went back to ask for the remaining food. I was told that they will bring it later. After waiting 10 minutes I went back to the counter to see if it was ready (it was just 2 hotwings and 1 garlic mayo). Nobody bothered to help me or other customers waiting at the counter for a solid 5 minutes before a seemingly uninterested employee finally decided to grab the remaining of my order, took him literally only 10 seconds to grab it, so why couldn't they give it to me the first time I asked?
When we went to sit down, most tables and chairs were sticky it seemed that nothing was ever cleaned. Not only the furniture wasn't cleaned at all, the bins were also completely full. It got so bad that the entire space for soda filling was filled with trays of trash up to the point were people just had to leave their trash on the tables, because there was simply no more space to get rid of the trays.
I honestly have no clue what happened to this KFC, as I feel like there is absolutely no management structure left in this place. When I went here 4 years ago there was even a spontaneous host to welcome everyone entering. The management team absolutely needs to reconstruct their way of working. Until that time, I recommend everybody to consider eating anywhere...
Read moreThe only complaint I have is that I've been twice and the food had been vastly different. There's many things that can attribute to that but June 21 around 5pm the staff was great. Food was cooked great. The only weird thing is my twister was folded a bit weird and my tomato wasn't evenly spread but who cares it was good! It tastes like the KFC I've had in America. Anyway this past Thursday the 27th of June around 8 to 9pm we had KFC again. My husband got a questionable fat filled wing of chicken in his variety box. His box this time around was also missing a chest piece from his variety box order. He loved his original box from the 21st. My twister on the 27th also while built better seemed to be lacking lettice (it had some but it was barely filled) . It was half the width of the previous one I purchased. Maybe it was just the time of day and running low on supplies, but my only suggestion I could make to them is have better consistency. Food's great when made proper. Will eat...

Never a straight order without some mixup, delay, missing items and then replacing with the wrong items on top of that, receipts out of order, table numbers all empty, bin completely full, understaffed personel and many other issues including staff members arguing about rules that they made up or making you wait in the drive-through for 5-10 minutes before even telling me "Hi, I will get back to you soon" or some young girl giggling and fooling around with colleagues while talking on the intercom not paying attention. The other day they actually threw a drumstick at each other in front of the people waiting for their order!!
