Terrible dinner experience. My children were offered tonight "Zalm met frites", with this exact look and quantity as you see on the attached image. I would rather call it "Frites met zalm", as you can see yourself what we got for 14 euro. There were not bigger salmon pieces exposed, and all 1 cm thin. I ordered another piece of salmon fish without the fries, so two children can get enough fish. I was asked the same price. Explanation: "We are forbidden to adjust dish prices. It is your choice, if you do not want to eat something. Prices are fixed." Fish served on top of brown overcooked spinach floating in brownish sauce, that I could not recognize, and unfortunately the fish has already absorbed the absurd sauce. Tasteless! My kids are hungry sharks at the moment, so they eat what is usually lovely cooked. I taste then the special creamy dip on the side - FERMENTED..... I hand it to the first person I see on my way to show it to the cook. She answers "OK" and leaves my sight. That is all. Nobody reacts. Nobody appears, even everybody disappears. Of course, a coincidence. Obviously the personnel at the cash registry is present. I ask for their colleagues to come out. Everybody is busy leaving after shift finished, and there are plenty of excusions why you cannot come out to take responsibility. Where is the manager? "Not here". Well, let's call him. "He is in hospital." Give me his contacts please. I need his or her email address. Nobody has any idea. They continue chatting, as there is no work, and it is very slow. I was expected to leave. After all, everything they knew is they have a manager named "Erik", and his boss is "Lulu". Last two are not here. Full stop. These beautiful Dutch school kids should not have been this ignorant. Then I decided I will not reward them. I requested a person to taste the fermented sauce. He took it from the stand, dipped his bare finger inside and called it "disgusting", but explained he doesnt like fish sauces. The cook is still busy finishing his shift somewhere invisibly. I am simply offended, even worse - my kids have stomachache at the price of over 30 euros. Objectively speaking, I have visited this specific location 4 times recently. Fantastic kids' corner, and remarkable, helpful personnel so far, and my kids always enjoying the tasty salmon dish with fries and excellent creamy sauce (on May 28th, Nov 5th and 11th, and tonight Nov 17th). However, tonight I could not bear any of the insults these cocky young people served me without any shame. I do not need to hear how appalling customer I am, and you guys may find somebody who loves to be treated like an idiot, and pay for it. La Place girls and boys did not care tonight what they sell. Thus I have given the reason why I will not set my foot back in La Place Leiderdorp. I'd rather enjoy neighbouring McDonald's milk shake and discipline while charging my car. The building is big and aerie and has some real life plants inside. An allright place to have a coffee and do some laptop work or zone out for a bit. If you're sound sensitive and need to concentrate, bring earplugs (as always).
The veggie soup was lukewarm, so I got to swap it for a hot tomato soup that looked and tasted like tomato paste out of a can. Even a fair amount of salt couldn't save this idea of a soup.

Read moreWat een kut discriminerend personeel.Ik was vanmiddag hier en bij de ingang zag ik groete poster met “cheeseburger 4,50€” dus ik bestel een cheeseburger en degene achter de grill zei”ga maar zitten kom ik het brengen”.Ik loop naar de kassa om af te rekenen en de dame aan de kassa zei dat ik de app moest downloaden om de korting op het broodje te krijgen(wat niet op de groete poster stond mja).Dus ik zei haar dat me mobiel uit is en dat ik die toch van plan was om op te laden terwijl ik aan het eten was,dus ze zei me ja doe dat maar en download de app en dat ik daarna af kon rekenen.Na een paar minuten kwam dezelfde mevrouw me aan tafel zeggen dat het broodje klaar was,waarop ik antwoorde dat de app nog niet klaar was (iphone duurt lang om op te starten en de bereik is slecht daarbinnen had alleen 3g)en dat ik zo afreken als die klaar is met downloaden.Na weer 2 of 3 minuten kwam ze me weer vragen om af te rekenen(want ze was klaar met werken om 15:15 en het was rond die tijd),waarop ik zei de app is nog steeds niet klaar en dat ik zo afreken.Na 1-2minuten was de app klaar dus ik ga me broodje halen om af te rekenen,zeg de jongen achter de grill dat ik eerst af moest rekenen,waarop ik vroeg hoezo normaal pak je altijd eerst je drinken en eten en daarna reken je af.Zei die dat ie de kassabon nodig had voor de bestellingnummer ofzo(terwijl het restaurant zo goed als leeg was).Dus ik vroeg sinds wanneer dat zo is want ik eet zo vaak bij La Place.Door zijn houding en manier van doen voelde ik me gediscrimineerd en ben maar boos weggelopen zonder te eten.Alsof ik van plan was om weg te rennen zonder...
