Set in a beautiful area by the River Waal and near apple orchards and quiet villages, this hotel also offers excellent service, great food and free bikes for the day. We were here with a group and stayed 3 nights in all with a set meal for dinner which were all supreb and different. Although breakfast is a good continental, it was served at the table rather than having to jump up and down to a buffet which was more comfortable. Grab a bike and go for rides by the rivers and nearby villages. There are easy maps to follow. Luckily we had a front room (#2) which has a great view over the River Waal and of sunrise through large picture windows. Our only downside was the boiler broke down and there was no hot water for over 24 hours - luckily the weather...

Maybe food is great (I had no chance to test this today) but the service terrible. I did today a long trip on race bike and decided to stop there to enjoy something nice. Found free table... 15 minutes and nobody was interested to take order. Then one lady came... not to take the order but asking me to move to other table... I am which one, as there was nothing free... She just ignored me... This was my first and last stop there. Looks like I was classified as not a very interested client... I just left - my money didn't change the owner... To be clear - it was first time in the Netherlands when I had so bad service. I travel (or was...) a lot... and it was my worse client treatment...
