Kind and friendly personal. They were really helpful and the experience was amazing. My partner and I had a dinner next to the canal in a sunny day. So, it was just perfect! The restaurant inside is really cozy, clean and beautiful. We highly recommend it. Thank you!

Op dinsdag 12 augustus samen met mijn dochter Wendy kano gehuurd bij Marnemoende in IJsselstein. Met de bedoeling om te gaan lunchen bij De Posthoorn in Montfoort (terras aan de IJssel), samen met Mirjam die op de fiets ging. Hoe gezellig kan het zijn. Helaas, vooraf niet naar openingstijden gekeken (maandag + dinsdag gesloten), dus deze review is gebaseerd op eerdere (fiets)-bezoekjes: De Posthoorn is gewoon een aanrader om langs te gaan. Èèn minpuntje waar we nu ook achter gekomen zijn is dat als je tijdens een kanotochtje langs wilt gaan er geen enkele mogelijkheid is om hier uit een kano te stappen vanwege de hoge oeverkant. Ook niet met hulp, jammer. Komen we gewoon weer op de fiets.

We gingen suppen vanaf de jachthaven 30 graden was het dus had alleen een zwemshort aan,we kwamen bij de achterzijde van het terras aan de ijssel,toen ik het terras op kwam gelopen keek het personeel me aan of ik van een andere planeet kwam,er werd me verteld dat je niet met een ontbloot boven lijf op het terras direct aan de IJssel mocht zitten...enigzins vreemd met 30 graden in de middle of no where dat dat als prob gezien werd...ik kreeg toch me 2 kriek biertjes( geen prijzen op de bierkaart) met de rekening 11,80 euro....ik dacht even dat ik in dubai was...vind 11,80 voor 2 kriek biertjes op een terras in Montfoort best wel overdreven

De Posthoorn is a modest and no nonsense cafe on the road between De Meern and Montfoort. The interior goes back quite some time, nothing fancy. Nice people give you a cold beer while you wait for a decent dinner. Good portions, quality food, fairly priced. Very nice to sit at the bar with the locals, play darts or...
