Restaurant Olio — Restaurant in Nuenen c.a.

Received a voucher from the Primera to try out several restaurants and Olio was an unknown for us as we don't often look beyond the city limits of Eindhoven. It is actually only a very short drive out of Eindhoven and we were pleasantly surprised. The small restaurant is layed out spaciously and on a full day balances ambiance with privacy very nicely. The host clearly is energised by having a restaurant full of customers as she made us feel at home quickly which a quick chat and joke before dashing off to the next table. Value for money on our 4 course surprise menu was excellent. The wine menu had some excellent choices but we opted for the wine pairing arrangement which was very pleasant. We had a WONDERFUL evening at this beautiful and cosy restaurant. We went for restaurant week so paid less than a usual customer but....this definitely didn't reflect in the lovely welcoming service ...attention to detail and standard of food...everything was exquistite and the staff are so on the ball attentive it was great! I love the fact that you just say what u like or dont and then the chef decides what u eat. Just a lovely happy...

Good, if somewhat expensive restaurant. We were here with the AH restaurant deal, so the value for money was good. But without such a deal prices would have been too high for my liking. One gripe is the my main dish (sea bream with chorizo) came without the chorizo, which should not happen at a restaurant in this price bracket. And some apologies would have been nice.
