For our wedding anniversary during the first weekend in October, we couldn’t have chosen a better place than Boerderij Hermans Dijkstra! From the warm welcome we received upon arrival to the last bite of the exquisite meal, it was a truly wonderful experience.

The service was simply outstanding! Our waitress was attentive and caring, anticipating our every need. A special highlight was the small tour of the historic museum in the building, which we were able to enjoy after our meal. Getting a glimpse into the history and character of the house made our visit even more memorable.

And the food? An absolute dream! The 5-course menu was perfectly balanced, creative, and absolutely delicious – every bite was a pleasure. The quality and attention to detail in each course left us truly impressed. Best of all, the price-to-quality ratio is unbeatable!

One tiny suggestion would be to add a bit more coziness to the dining space, perhaps with small details like flowers on the tables, to make the already charming atmosphere even warmer.

We’re thoroughly delighted and will not only recommend this restaurant but are already looking forward to our next visit. Many thanks to the entire team for an unforgettable evening!

We were really in heaven since we were the lucky guests that were seated into the “lordly” room. A room that was telling from its amazing past with lots of things to see. We really felt like we were thrown back to the glory of its time in 1850. The set up alone was alone worth going. The table was nicely set. Not too much but showing the exquisite meals that were just waiting for us. We chose the 4-course menu with the wine pairing and an additional Dutch cheese course (what you shouldn’t miss if you love cheese). From start (it actually started with a divine amuse bouche) to finish the dishes cooked by a very ambitious young chef were out of this world. Stop watching romantic movies and reserve a room from here. felt like we are in movie. We arrived to hotel with warm welcoming. The owner served us orange juices with peanut. Your room is bigger than %99 of the rest of the hotels in Europe. You have a living room, kitchen and bathtub. You rent a bike from owner for free and do a lovely cycling around the lake. There are wild horses, deers and various birds around. Restaurant is from history and decoration is amazing....
