“Gewoon” De Brink Bakkeveen — Restaurant in Opsterland

Second visit. We had two courses, prawns to start - way too much garlic and swimming in butter. Needs much less. Prawns had been frozen and not fresh which is a shame given they cost almost 11 euros for 5 prawns. Sandfire was almost raw.

Mains was hamburger and chicken burger. Partner said hamburger was low quality, thin and not much meat, again 17:50, fake truffle mayo in general not nice. Chicken burger again was from cheap source, chicken was thin, and watery. At 16:95 I would have expected much more and a real chicken, not a premade chicken burger. Potatoes were frozen premade. 1 coke and three zero beers total 73:00. Certainly not bar prices, same in Other places 50...

Cozy flair, very welcoming staff aswell as a quick and feiendly service!

The food was the tastiest I have had in a long time!

We had a Schnitzel and Spareribs which came with amazingly crunchy fries and a yummy salad, which I would absolutely recommend to taste!

The atmosphere is like an old cafe. It's really nice. You can play board/drinking games while waiting. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The food is nicely priced. Taste very good and the plates are big!

The cafe is near various nature hiking routes.
