Chef's! Food & Drinks Papendrecht — Restaurant in Papendrecht

The restaurant is located inside the Leonardo hotel, next to a fitness club. The surrounding area looks lackluster and uninspiring. Inside however, the restaurant looks very nice. It has a good atmosphere.

The waiting staff behaved a bit oddly. They brought us a menu right away but then staid away for a long time. We actually had to wave to get their attention, just to get some drinks. The place wasn't particularly crowded, so it felt odd.

We took the stew and ribs. The stew and ribs were both quite surprisingly bland. The stew came with a red cabbage wrapped in a bit of pastry. I'm glad I ordered extra fries with it, otherwise I'd go hungry. The ribs came with a poached potato. It had a nice sauce, but the potato was over seasoned, I.e. very salty.

We did not stay for desert.

Before I went to this restaurant, I had some expectation already since I read some reviews saying that food is great here and I had a wonderful experience!

I stayed at Apollo hotel for 3 nights over last weekend and I went to this restaurant for dinner 2 nights in a row.

My husband and I tried out salmon, fish & chips, steak and burger. They were all great. I wish this restaurant was nearby my home then I’d go so often!

Food was superb and very lovely but what I loved more than anything was how servers always had smile on their faces and they were really nice and friendly.

I’d love to go back again when I am around! I am back home but already missing the food and kindness of staff members :) I was very happy.

I had the most disgusting hamburger here. I had to send it back and I wasn’t able to eat anything else after that as it killed my appetite. The “beef” looked like a paste extremely pressed together and then cooked in a microwave, just awful 🤢. On top of this, the staff has no attention to detail and forget everything you ask for. They have no training in customer service and that is extremely obvious.
