The food was okay, I had a nutella banana pancake; 7/10. The beverages are nice. The restaurant has a good variety of pancakes therefore serving its purpose as a pancake restaurant. It does not only sell pancakes but other kinds food aswell. I had a ham-and-cheese toastie with tomato, brie and arugula which tasted okay aswell; 6/10. The pricing is okay, my banana nutella pancake cost €8,00 and my sandwich cost €4,25. I had good value for my money. Waiting time for the food could be better. Had to wait 10+ minutes for the food. The waiter was a bit odd, making me feel a bit uncomfortable in the restaurant. The place looks good, nice and cozy. Dogs are allowed which could be a con; could be a pro. After reading many reviews about the restaurant I was a bit anxious of going to this restaurant, for the opinions were very mixed. I'd say it's not as bad as they say it is, however I can find understanding in their reviews. The woman beside me didn't have a very good time since, for her asparagus soup wasn't good at all. The waiter was seemed very understanding and told the chef, but I'm unsure whether it had any effect or not. Tl;dr An okay place to eat pancakes, service was odd and the place looked...
Read moreThe restaurant is conveniently located near a beautiful natural area, making it a good choice for a lunch break after hiking. However, don't expect extraordinary food or drinks; the lunch options are pretty dull.
The establishment markets itself as a pancake restaurant. While it doesn't offer the wide variety of a typical pannenkoekenhuis, it uses special flour that enhances the taste and texture of the pancakes.
The service is below average. We waited about half an hour for our pancakes, which is unusually slow for a pancake restaurant. Additionally, the servers were not proactive in suggesting menu items or drinks.
Lastly, don't expect decent coffee. The restaurant has a typical issue with misleading coffee names. Instead of an espresso, I received a 150ml cup of mediocre beverage. Although, it’s rare to find a place with a proper...
Read moreThe only restaurant in Wolfheze. BUT, great quality food. The Giant schnitzel was big and crispy and good of taste. The mushroomsaus was not enough. That should be XL too. The Dutch steak was very good. Small like the Dutch serve but tasty and soft. Easy to cut. For the side dish we had chips/fries and they were great. Crispy too. Very good.
Dessert: XL Soesje with icecream and chocolate sauce. Very nice. Not XL but light. The chocolate cake was tremendous. Very tastefull. And this was a really heavy dessert. We took half with us. Too good not to.
The very friendly and sweet staff made the experience wonderfull.
For us a very nice surprise because we went for a snack at the railhousestation but it was closed at 18.00h. So we had to find something else. Very glad we...
