Cozy little place that has been here since 2001. We came here on a Friday night, it was not crowded at all and had high hopes because of all the positive experiences of other visitors that left a review here on Google. And boy, they were so right! Very friendly staff with a lot of personal attention. Bread was on the house, the butter home made with a unique herb mixture. I had the mushrooms as starter, they were absolutely delicious. Took the Egyptian chicken-beef Fahety as main course, really a uniquely flavored dish with perfectly cooked rice. And we received fries, jacket potatoes and a salad on the side. And ended with a hazelino dessert, which was also something I had never seen for dessert. Made a pic of the deserts, the chocolate brownie thingie was my partners dessert. He wanted to write his own review, so I have only covered my meal in this review. Btw: they are not expensive at all for the quality you get. So I must say: this little gem is a keeper and the very friendly owner will definitely see...

They might be hard to find, almost sheltered behind a big and bright cafeteria, but this Egyptian style restaurant has a cosy and intimate feeling to it.

They have a wide variety of starters ranging from different soups to hot wings or mussels. For the main course even more options are available, and especially meat seems to be their speciality. They have several options that are made in Egyptian fashion, such as their rice with chicken (definitely a recommendation!) or falafel. They also have fish and a vegatarian chef surprise. This probably is not the place to go to if you are vegetarian. Thei desserts are delicious, and especially the bombe amaretto was amazing, but I am sure their dame blanche or "black pearl" will taste great as well.

The chef will also visit your table during the meal to ask you if everything is alright, and they serve some great beers.

While it might be easy to overlook this restaurant, it is an amazing restaurant and I will definitely come here again if...

Afgelopen vrijdag hier samen met mijn vrouw heerlijk gegeten.

De porties zijn voor een bescheiden eter perfect, een grote eter zal het wellicht te kleine porties vinden. Ik vind het echter een zonde om subliem eten als dit in te grote hoeveelheden naar binnen te proppen, dus was dit echt prima. En de prijs is ook zeer correct.

De service en atmosfeer in dit schattig restaurant was ook zeer goed.

My wive and I ate here last Friday and we both enjoyed it very much.

The servings are modest, for me that was fine because I dislike having to force down giant portions, however a big bellied person might not be satisfied. That being said, the prices are very fair for such sublime dining.
