Eastern Plaza wok & live cooking buffet restaurant — Restaurant in Rhenen

We go out to eat here a lot, the ambiance is nice, it's always busy but we don't really mind that too much. The different foods are all in the center, sushi, fish, meat, salads, wok, deep fryed, fruit or deserts.. The choice is endless and everything can be customized/ remade to however you like.

Around the center is all the seating and tables in 3 different directions around the food. There is one corner specially for kids (the kids corner), one with regular seats and another corner we never sit so I'm not sure if it's for a special group.

Everything is fresh, apart from the food every corner has an extra wall stocked with most of the drinks so you have access to that more easily than having to go to the center for it. (though you can if you want)

If it's your birthday be sure to let them know for some discount (show your ID), and if you eat here more regularly there is a point system where you can save points per time you visit for discounts too.

We love it, only downside is that for us it's not exactly close so we go here for special...

We had a late lunch/ dinner here on Good Friday. We arrived at 4pm for our initial 3 gour booking, however we ended up upgrading to VIP which gave us an extra 2 hours.

The restaurant itself is way more spacious than the pictures suggest and even though it was busy it didn't feel cramped. I was impressed with the kids entertainment and facilities.

The food in general was of a very good standard for a buffet restaurant with plenty of options to choose from. I actually didn't taste everything i wanted to. Love the large selection of desserts as well. Nice selection of drinks, beers and wines. Also loved seeing that all the wines ate of South African origin.

Staff was very friendly and efficient and we felt very welcome.

Definitely worth...

Een plek met 2 gezichten. Aan de ene zijde een goed en uitgebreid buffet met veel niet standaard gerechten wat ik echt een groot plus vindt. De sushi zijde helaas veelal Mayonaise sushi wat jammer is want met de ingrediënten die ze gebruiken kan je genoeg betere sushi maken. Het wok buffet zeer uitgebreid en zeer netjes, ondanks vol huis vrijwel nooit wacht rijen en veel keuzes uit smaken. Het grill gedeelte toch wel een tegenvaller als vis zijnde vind ik tilapia en pangas nou niet echt restaurant waardige vissen... sliptong stond er maar werd slecht gebakken. Vlees grill gedeelte ook tegenvallend chef vooral liefhebber van well done en de kwaliteit van het vlees was ook niet heel hoog, als je daarnaast ook nog vega kip troep gaat aanbieden tja... Dessert gedeelte zoals bij iedere all you can eat, spek koek was nep en gewoon cake dat is dan toch wel weer zonde. Alles wel erg schoon en goed bijgevuld. Kids gedeelte om te eten tegenvallend, alles frituur snacks en als enige een bak met doperwten en peentjes uit blik....onbegrijpelijk. kids speel gedeelte wel erg leuk en erg groot en met toezicht. Schminken, ballonnen maken, koekjes bakken etc voor kids echt helemaal geweldig. Sfeer en uitstraling van de gedeeltes waar je eten kan pakken echt geweldig, en ondanks de enorme drukte waren er nergens rijen. Het zitgedeelte wel erg teleurstellend alles vol gepakt veel en veel te druk daar ontstonden wel files en regelmatig een duw als je zit te eten erg slecht. Al met al ok, maar vind de chaos in het zit gedeelte in combinatie met de tegenvallende grill toch een reden om de volgende keer een alternatief...
