Café Kanters — Restaurant in Roermond

The place has a great location and a calm view. We managed to order fast and got our drinks fast. 😌

On the other side: the service and the whole atmosphere were hectic. the coffee was spilled before we got it. The waiter did not even apologize. they did not provide water for the dog. it took ages until we were able to pay, and, SUPRISE: we had to pay an extra 0.50 cents for paying via bank card. We were not told about it upfront. Also, we are in the Netherlands, so approach us first in Dutch before wrongly assuming we are Germans, etc.

The service was so bad that it spoiled our day. 10 euros for a bottle of watter... After 1h30 waiting for our order we left. People around us confirmed they waited quite a lot before their dishes get served. What an awfull way to finish a nice day in a lovely...

Wir waren seit acht Jahren immer wieder mal dort und sehr zufrieden. Für mich war es gestern das letzte mal gewesen. Unfreundliche Bedienung, Cola 0,2 mit 4 Eiswürfel, um weniger ausschenken zu müssen. Die Preise haben ordentlich angezogen. Doppelschnitzel kostete mal 16,90 jetzt 22€. Dafür gibt es weniger Pommes und an der Salatgarnitur war kein einziges Blatt was nicht angefault war. Ich hatte mich schon gewundert, warum so wenig Gäste dort waren. Früher war es reine Glückssache ohne Reservierung einen Tisch zu bekommen. Im Nachhinein wird mir jetzt alles klar. Bye Bye Cafe Kanters! Gastronomie ist ein sensibeles Handwerk, das nicht...
