Arzu North — Restaurant in Rotterdam

I've passed by Arzu many times over the years and it always looked so inviting. Finally got a chance to stop for breakfast. We ordered two pancakes and was really looking forward to them. When they arrived they were huge... completely covering the plate with caramel sauce. But unfortunately, they weren't cooked through. When I mentioned this to the waiter, the only thing he could say was that the chef was in a rush and this is not the first time they serve undercooked pancakes. It seems like this is a common thing at Arzu’s Yuck! I tried to eat around the edges but no luck. I'm so disappointed. This place failed completely at pancakes which really shouldn't be that hard. Under the circumstances I think they would have done well to not charge me for...

Ordered for delivery. They open 11.00, ordered at 10.30...earliest delivery time 12.30. A little disappointing, untill the food arrived. Took American pancakes: salmon and red velvet. And bars.

The moment you assemble your pancakes, you realise why it takes a little longer to make them. Every ingredient tastes fantastic. The pancakes are freshly made, great flavor, but the cream cheese .... just wow.

The bars are just like advertised, beautiful. Didn't eat them yet , because the pancake portion is quite big and I still need to digest.

I’ve been a fairly regular visitor at Arzu for a few years now. They make great coffees, pancakes and sandwiches. The bars are delicious as well! Only point of improvement would be to bring back the 3 pancake stack instead of the 2 and to do something with the space in order to make it more inviting and cosy. The location in West feels more inviting than the one in Noord, especially the upstairs of the latter could do with some extra attention. Definitely becoming more and more on the more pricey side but other than that, great spot for a delicious...
