Best Lunch I had in a long time!

We came in for lunch a bit late but they we're more than happy to still serve us, showing great flexibility. We had a lovely table nearby the water, this created an unique dining experience, where could see the boats pass by. Out of the 3 course menu we couldn't figure out which one was the best, because they we're not only very neatly presented but very well balanced with the fresh local ingredients. For me personally the Halibut main course was one of the reasons I decided to post this review. All the flavours came together and it was melting in my pallet.

The Wines for the dishes almost felt like they’re created just for the dishes, this was something I haven’t seen anywhere else (yet).

Overall I would say I’m surprised this hasn’t gotten a Michelin star yet and it was defiantly worth the travel!

Tucked right on the water, De Prins is one of those rare places that gets it all right. The setting alone is worth the visit—canal-side, intimate, and quietly elegant. Inside, it’s cozy without being cramped: just a handful of tables, which makes the experience feel personal rather than packaged. The service was exceptional across the board, but a special mention goes to Teun, who managed that rare mix of warmth and professionalism that makes you feel genuinely welcome. The surprise menu is a very pleasant surprise. Every dish was thoughtful, beautifully balanced, and full of flavour. It’s no wonder they’ve made it into the Gault & Millau guide. They deserve to be there.

A hidden gem. I only knew about this place from a boat ride down the Rotte and sailed past this beautiful restaurant and Terrace on the river. Made a reservation and it blew my mind. Affordable luxury surprise tasting menu with an unbelievable wine list. Tasted new and different styles of wines I’ve never heard of or tried before. The staff were amazing and treated everyone with the utmost respect from the elderly, handicap to the LGBTQ guests that were there. Additionally the food was amazing! Highly recommend and will definitely be one of my Rotterdam favorites to come back to. Did the 6 course tasting with wine pairing. Highly recommend but plan to make an evening out of it. We were there from 7:30pm...
