If you're seeking an unforgettable dining experience, look no further than Restaurant O&O...
We opted for the "full experience" menu, which consisted of seven courses, preceded by a delicious amuse, called "Botanical Bites". Each course was an excellent exploration of flavors, well-balanced and their presentation bursting with creativity! Highlights for us included the Bluefin Toro prepared in Nikkei Style, the Xiao Long Bao with ginger and scallion (we are a big fan of the Taiwanese "Din Tai Fung" chain, where this is their signature dish!), the Tarbot, Wagyu & Caviar, and last but not least, the Singapore Chili Lobster. It was really fun to recognize many of the aspects of the way in which you get Singapore Chili Crab served in Singapore, but then with a sauce that has all the hallmarks of authenticity and freshness! The level of thought and detail in every course was truly exceptional.
We also had the full "0% creations" non-alcoholic pairing, which nicely complemented the menu with six drinks like the Pitahaya with lemongrass coconut and the Wheel of Fortune with pear matcha. While all the drinks were impressive, the star of the evening for me was the homemade, red-colored Tropical IPA. With its refreshing balance of Chemy Cranberry and Calamansi, it’s hands down one of the best non-alcoholic beers I’ve ever had. Every drink was as thoughtfully crafted as the dishes, so if you’re skipping alcohol, you won't feel like you're missing out... to the contrary!
While O&O delivers on all fronts of fine dining, the ambiance remains relaxed and inviting, with great service that made us feel both at ease and truly taken care of. Hands down, this is one of the best restaurants we've ever visited, and we wholeheartedly thank the staff, and recommend it to anyone looking for an extraordinary...
Read moreHow to write a review of a restaurant that knows how to surprise/excite you so much. It starts with the welcome: the people make you feel special and very welcome. Then the food; we have had dinner on a Saturday and then they only serve their 7-course. You just indicate allergies if any and maybe what you really don’t like, although I would be careful with that: my wife doesn’t like oysters, but how they serve it here……🤩. Every course is a pleasant surprise, very creative and a powerful, spectacular taste. I ordered the pairing wines and my wife and son took the pairing 0.0, which I also tasted; the wines are great, but you would expect that, but the 0.0 is a sensation that you must try. What a great evening. It was our first time here. Something to realize: It’s not cheap (and shouldn’t be; just check the online menu to not be surprised), the building or location is not what you would expect from a top restaurant; it’s not part of the great experience…….well that’s overcompensated by the unique and fantastic food and experience/service as a whole. We spend 4 hours to enjoy all of this....
Read moreWe have received excellent service and hospitality, staffs are professional and sweet. The ambience is good. Its location is abit out of the city. They are pricey with no doubt, and it is very subjective whether they are worthy or not with its overall presentation. Honestly, its food quality is rather average, especially the duck, the skin is not crispy enough, and we have had too high expectations on the lobsters. Making us miss the Singaporian crabs and lobsters. Steam fish is good, but normal homemade steam fish. I only love their oysters, but they cost extra. If you have been to Asia, I think you would understand why I gave this restaurant...
