Strandclub Zee — Restaurant in Schouwen-Duiveland

Beautiful location, poor service and the food… couldn’t tell you. I went alone, stood in the middle of a busy staff area near the bar for them to approach me but I had to interrupt someone to ask for a table. They replied sure take a seat anywhere. 20 minutes of waiting for a menu to come and trying to catch their attention like I was invisible, finally a waitress saw me and informed me the kitchen was shut besides fried food. I’m allergic so I’m going back to my hotel hungry and mad that I couldn’t get service just because I wasn’t in a group. There is nothing else close by enough to reach before shutting too and I’m travelling to the next city tomorrow so I can’t even come back to try again to eat here. Really...

Edit: Still love this place but recently visited during the heatwave (temps in mid 30's) only to find very little shade to sit under outside! Families with babies were cowering in little pockets of shade. I ate my dinner slumped behind a cushion just to get out of the sun. Now, while I appreciate that these temps were unusual, we are experiencing climate change & potentially more of these high temps. For the love of good people buy more parasols!!

Love this place. The staff are super friendly & helpful. Our server went above & beyond. They took the gluten free request very seriously too. Wonderful place, with a cool vibe, overlooking the ocean. We go back...

Strandclub Zee in Scharendijke

Ein absolutes Highlight in jeder Hinsicht!

Wir haben uns im Strandclub Zee vom ersten Moment an rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt, stilvoll und gleichzeitig herzlich – ein Ort, an dem man gerne verweilt.

Das Essen war durchweg hervorragend. Besonders erwähnenswert sind die Austern, die unglaublich frisch und geschmacklich ein echtes Highlight waren. Auch der Hummer war perfekt zubereitet – zart, aromatisch und auf den Punkt gegart. Das Tournedo überzeugte ebenfalls : saftig, hervorragende Sambal Sauce und gut präsentiert. Hier merkt man, dass Qualität und kulinarisches Können großgeschrieben werden.

Der Service war ebenso sehr gut: stets aufmerksam, freundlich und angenehm zurückhaltend. Geschirr / Gläser könnte allerdings eher abgeräumt werden. Besonders positiv fiel uns der Geschäftsführer auf – sehr präsent, äußerst kundenorientiert und offen für Feedback. Kritik wurde nicht nur ernst genommen, sondern bei unserem nächsten Besuch mit beeindruckender Sorgfalt und Kulanz umgesetzt. So fühlt man sich als Gast wirklich wertgeschätzt!

Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt: Für die gebotene Qualität ist es mehr als fair. Die Lage direkt am Wasser ist traumhaft – mit tollem Ausblick und einer einmaligen Atmosphäre. Ohne Zweifel gehört der Strandclub Zee zu den besten Adressen in Scharendijke und der Region.

Ein weiterer Pluspunkt: Die Barrierefreiheit. Das Restaurant ist – was heutzutage leider nicht selbstverständlich ist – sehr behindertenfreundlich eingerichtet. Hier wurde spürbar mitgedacht und auf eine zugängliche Gestaltung geachtet.

Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder – und empfehlen den Strandclub Zee...
