A Gem for Celiacs in Sittard!
As a celiac traveling in the Netherlands, finding safe and delicious dining options can be a challenge. Thai Sajam, however, exceeded all my expectations!
I presented my gluten-free/glutenvrij allergy card in Thai, and the staff immediately understood and accommodated my needs without hesitation. The food was absolutely phenomenal—we loved it so much that we dined here twice during our short trip.
I highly recommend the sate kai (chicken satay served with sweet chili sauce instead of peanut sauce), the flavorful khao pad (fried rice with beef), and the rich, creamy kaeng panaeng (panang curry with chicken). Each dish was packed with authentic flavors and prepared with care.

I booked a table here at the last minute as other restaurants were fully booked or unreachable. They called me back very quickly and explained the situation with shared tables. Basically a table for four split into 2 lots of 2 via a plastic screen of flowers. Not a problem at all! The location is compact and it took us a bit of time to figure out what we wanted. We ordered the nam prik paw (name probably wrong, sorry!) and some Chang beer. Both absolutely delicious. Food wasn't too spicy (2 chillies on the menu) and ingredients were lovely and fresh. Nice touch with the white rice (go there to find out). We spent 54 euros on a lovely dinner for 2 and will be coming back often. Got to try the take away too. Aangezien ik het eten in Thailand zo mis, en ik nog een dikke maand moet wachten voor ik weer terug naar Thailand kan, heb ik maar eens gezocht naar een Thais restaurant aangezien ik al weken zin heb op kapao 👌 Uiteindelijk bij dit restaurant uitgekomen en ik moet zeggen het eten was super lekker en de bediening super vriendelijk! Ga zo door!

Vandaag weer eens lekker Thais gaan eten in Sittard, ik kwam er vandaag achter dat er nieuwe eigenaren waren..... Maar geen paniek, het eten is nog steeds heerlijk, de bediening en nieuwe eigenaars waren ook heel erg vriendelijk. Kortom gewoon supper! Ga zo door. Thais zoals je het normaal alleen in Thailand...
