Black stone & Uncle Buck — Restaurant in Someren

My wife and I went here. It started off nice. The younger server was nice and handled it well. The appetizers were good. Nachos where as good as it can get in the Nederlands. Quesadilla was nice. Bread was good too. Steaks were good as well but then again, I cooked it myself on the stone.

Now for the reason they didn't get 5 stars. There was an old lady getting on us about cooking our steaks on the stone. She said that we couldn't put butter on our steak, because it sticks to the hot stone. They should at least mention this in the beginning before serving us. Not shouting at us like were small kids over putting something as silly as butter to cook the steak. I have been cooking for over 30 years for someone to say I cannot season my over priced steak. A steak that took them a while to get out after we were done with all 3 of our appetizers.

I do not recommend the coleslaw. It's a salad not a cold slaw. As the Dutch do they will argue with you just to keep your money. I asked them if they brought me the wrong dish because I got a salad. They said "That's the cold slaw" I said "This is not a cold slaw, this is a salad. Coleslaw is made with mayo, vinegar, cabage, carrots... why is there lettuce and rucola in the coleslaw" She said "What do you want me to do about it?" We paid about 4 euros for some small salad that was falsely advertised as a cole slaw.

It's not a bad place but needs improvement. If you say you serve something, serve that items. At that point your just lying to your customers. The older server didn't need to get bent out of shape because we put butter on our steaks. Stone is not hard to clean with the...

Al meerdere malen aanwezig geweest bij "Uncle buck" maar het blijkt maar weer dat ze niet met drukte overweg kunnen. Van de 4x afgelopen jaar, heb ik 3x bier in een bekertje gekregen, niet omdat ze geen glazen meer hadden maar om simpelweg de tafels vol stonden met lege glazen die niet werden opgehaald en er nauwelijks achter de bar werd afgewassen. Gisteren gegeten en gedronken. Ten eerste had ik een social deal voucher die je niet per man in kon leveren en alleen per tafel dit staat nergens aangegeven bij de deal. Dan bestel je bier en vergeten ze het door te geven dat het lauw bier is en je moet gewoon de volle mep betalen ( heel slecht ) Daarbij eet en drinkt je per tafel dit was heel vaak niet het geval en meerdere keren achter een bestelling aan moeten gaan omdat het weer niet op orde was.
