Café-Restaurant De Zwaan — Restaurant in Son en Breugel

Was there for a large company party. There was a buffet. They had signs that were confusing to me, I wasn't sure which options were vegan, but later I saw a sign saying that for a vegan option I should ask the chef. So I asked the personnel behind the counter, they told me to go to a different section, and it would be available there (in the large tent). So I go there, they tell me to go to the section where I just came from (the big hall with the stage). So I told them that's where I came from and that they just sent me here.

Then one of the personnel went to get me a vegan option, which tasted good, but was not really what I expected (no protein rich foods, it was a curry with only veggies as far as I could tell).

One of the people working there also told me there was a section with only vegetarian food, which I did not find (went to all the rooms I could find that served food).

So it was a bit of a hassle to get the food, and wasn't what I expected, but the personnel was very helpful and the food tasted good when I finally got it.

Still my best getaway spot here in Son. 🤣 Its variety of menu choices and the quality of food / services have never let me down even it’s been 10 years since my first visit. Rather impressive. Have tried almost half of their dishes (all of them are delicious) but beef teriyaki salad is always something that my tongue craves for during a low-carb diet. The only thing that saddened me was that its trio sorbets has been long gone. Goodness! That’s the best sorbets I’ve ever had and it’s even times better than any sorbets or gelatos I’ve tried at other places. Will surely come every other days in the summer if it’s back on the menu. Came here for a random lunch after arriving at the Eindhoven Aiport. Not sure what to expect, but left as satisfied customers. Group of 4 and we were seated outside on a great outside terrace. Service was welcoming and on point.

The lunch menu contains a wide variety of sandwiches, grilled cheese, pancakes, egg dishes, salad (meat, cheese and fish variations) and some burger type dishes. Available on the menu are also a few 'cheese platter' like dishes, if you like just to sit down for a while and take your time.
