The room itself are made out of old German type cottage where rooms are claustrophobic triangular in shape, with only one window. The location itself is remote not public transportation. The nearest infrequent bus stop is about 1.5 miles away. No UBER comes by. One UBER, that I took from train station, the guy told me this area is for old retired people.||||The place itself calls it to be Bed and Breakfast place. The owner charges you for the breakfast. Horrible greediness at that.||||The wi-fi service is a completely different thing. In this day and age poor wi-fi connection is just not acceptable. Having widely traveled around the world. I thought that the wi-fi is a guaranteed thing. For me since I was traveling I had no phone and depended on wi-fi to communicate with everyone. Because of no wi-fi I was completely shut out. When I complained about it, the owner said its working for him in his room, which is in a different building. I asked him if I can change to the room which has wi-fi, he said there are no room available. He lied to me as I was the only person in the whole premises. I asked him to come and I can show him that there was no wi-fi signal. At which point he cut of all communications with me. The owner's attitude was horrendous! UGGH!||||Shared bath is closed off to you if someone else is using it. No very convenient either.||||This place has lot of issues for me. I would NOT recommend...

Read moreFrom all Michelin star restaurants we visited, this was our first and only dissapointing experience.
Had reservation for lunch and dinner next day. Ended up in cancelling the dinner, totally not what we expected. 400 Euro for an 8 course dissapointing lunch. Pictures of food presentation shown on Michelin site are not even close to what we've got.
I e-mailed Lindenhof with our findings, cancelling dinner. They cancelled and confirmed again after 10 minutes, weird. But no response on our complaints. (most dissapointing of all).
Presentation of the dishes was okay, but definitely not star worthy. For the taste, one course was so salty and stiff (fried eel), other tastes on the plate were hard to recognize. Another course was a simple cheese platter in the middle of the lunch, nothing special, should be an add on, not a course. Organ meat was slippery, didn't like it and staff knew that after they asked our food preferences, we got it anyway. Main dish was a winter dish with deer and it was 30 degrees, taste was good, but no surprises. The macaron at the end felt like a 12 year old girls birthday party.
We drove 10 kilometres further to 'Kaatje bij de Sluis'. Ended up being more star worthy then Lindenhof, with one star less. Better presentation, better taste,...
