Bistro Belle — Restaurant in Stichtse Vecht

Poor customer service. We went there for an afternoon drink and were refused service on the restaurant patio although inside there were no free tables. We said we don't mind to take our own glasses outside and bring them back when we come to pay, but the staff refused to serve us. We gave it another try recently but the service was just as bad, inhospitable and rigid. There were many free tables but we were told we could only sit at one of two tables the staff pointed out. The other tables were not reserved so this made no sense. It was quite cold inside, service was poor and unfriendly and the coffee was undrinkable. Management should hire staff more suitable to work in hospitality as customers should not have to be faced with such...

Getwijfeld met het schrijven van een review omdat 1. De locatie top is, prachtig pand in een mooie groene en historische omgeving en 2. Het concept goed past bij de omgeving gezien er weinig restaurants in de buurt zitten, zodat er voor iedereen wel iets op de kaart staat.

Helaas geen positieve beoordeling, absoluut geen aanrader. Recent gegeten op een maandagavond waarbij het erg rustig was. Bij aanvang werd door het (jonge) personeel aangegeven dat ze krap zaten in de bezetting, dus ook hiervoor alle begrip. Echter, het personeel heeft duidelijk nog meer ervaring nodig. Het eten kwam eerder dan de drankjes en onderling werd minimaal gecommuniceerd waardoor we meermaals moesten vragen om iets te drinken. Wanneer het personeel bij andere tafels langs liep, waren ze snel weg zonder andere tafels te checken. Na meer dan een half uur kwamen de drankjes.

Helaas bleek de eigenaar te zijn vergeten bier te bestellen waardoor er ook geen bier v/d tap besteld kon worden, geen ramp, wel typerend voor de totaal ervaring. Betreft het eten, nogmaals een origineel concept maar grotendeels kwalitatief ondermaats voor de prijs die ze p.p. vragen.

Betreft het eten een paar voorbeelden. De ossenstaartsoep was waterig met als het enig ingredient wortel sliertjes en volledig smaakloos. De leerling special was een bakje sla met Hollandse garnalen waarbij de dressing moest zoeken en de Sticky tempeh was dusdanig taai dat kauwen een uitdaging was. Pech, of te veel gerechten op de kaart waardoor kwaliteit ten koste is gegaan?

Soms moet je een restaurant de kans geven door te proeven, maar ook de minder lovende recensies uit het verleden (+/- 1 jaar) die we van Bistro Belle lazen bevestigen voor ons dat het de prijs niet waard was. De locatie is nogmaals top, dus hopelijk is feedback welkom om het concept te verbeteren. Dan komen we graag...
