Grieks Restaurant Apostolis — Restaurant in Terneuzen

We visited the Restaurant Apostolis for Dinner.

The spot itself was very nice and ambient. There were very little things according to the service that could be improved but nothing really critical. This could also be our personal sensation of the moment.

The food itself was very nice. We ordered some bread with garlic butter as appetizer. The garlic butter was a bit to tame in my eyes. A bit more garlic taste would have been nice but overall the appetizers were solid.

The main dishes were very nice. We nearly encounter anytime problems with fish bones in fish dishes but we had no problems here what speaks for a very good preparation! The main dishes were all in all very tasty and the portion size was also very good.

All in all we can say that we had a nice stay at Restaurant Apostolis and if we get back into this area we will consider to eat...

De zaak ziet er gezellig en netjes uit. Het personeel is wat nors maar niet onvriendelijk, voor je kunt antwoorden op de vraag of het heeft gesmaakt zeggen ze al: 'fijn, dank u". Maar smaakte het? Nee, niet echt. Ten eerste zijn de borden steenkoud en dus is je eten ook heel snel koud. Grote (rest)stukken uien tussen de Gyros die maar matig gebakken is van slecht vlees. De ossenhaas bij de Kreta is geen ossenhaas en wat het ook mag zijn, het is niet te snijden, een combinatie van slecht vlees en bot bestek. De vis bij de Griekse tafel schotel is sompig, het vlees is ook niet geweldig. Koud bord en dus koud eten. We hebben de kleine lettertjes gemist die vertellen dat er ook een saladebar is, 'staat in het menu' horen we achteraf. De Galaktoboureko is een heerlijk nagerecht, maar helaas niet bij dit restaurant. De custard is klonterig en niet gaar. Jammer.

Waarschijnlijk waren wij bezoekers op een 'off day' van de kok, maar als dit de standaard is begrijpen wij de overige...

Great place right in the center of Terneuzen. Staff was fast and friendly. Food was really outstanding. I rarely give 5 star but it was nicely done. We went for the "greek tapas selection for two" and there was a big variety of nice dishes. Meets particularly nicely grilled. Not dry not too...
