BLOW Beach House - open March 2026 — Restaurant in The Hague

I wanted to share some feedback about our recent visit. The place itself is cozy and cute, and we enjoyed the ambiance. However, we noticed some differences compared to last year.

Most of our group ordered Wagyu burgers and the sea bass "large plate." While the sea bass tasted good, the portion was not large at all—just a regular plate with slightly too salty sauce. Unfortunately, the Wagyu burgers were burnt and tasted bland.

Additionally, one person in our group did not order initially, and when she tried to order later, we were informed that the kitchen was closed. We arrived at 20:00, and it would have been helpful to know that the kitchen closes at 21:00 in advance.

The general atmosphere felt chaotic. Toward the end of our meal, a waitress accidentally broke a glass right in front of us, which was quite alarming.

Overall, our experience was mixed, leaving us with a bittersweet feeling.

We visited the beach bar with great enthusiasm, but unfortunately, we left very disappointed — mainly due to the food.

The tomato salad, priced at €17.50, was truly underwhelming. It lacked flavor and looked like a random mix of leftovers from the fridge — definitely not worth the price. The burger was small and well below average compared to what you’d expect at most beach bars. The only relatively decent item was the Margherita pizza, which was okay but nothing special.

We also ordered two glasses of Chardonnay, which were not served in wine glasses, and the quantity was laughably small — it felt more like a tasting sample than a proper glass of wine.

To top it off, we were charged €6.50 for tap water. When we asked about it, the waiter looked confused and eventually said it was “filtered water from the dunes.”

Sorry, but we won’t be coming back. With so many better options around, this one simply doesn’t...

Dear Blow Team!

We are sitting here on our way back to Cologne (Germany) and are thinking about what we can leave behind as a worthy feedback.

Wow! Our wedding was just perfect! Of course we owe it to our guests and the great atmosphere, but to a large extent to you, your staff, the great location and the authentic, professional and uncomplicated organization!

Thank you Marlies for your cool manner and the relaxed planning. Also thanks to our floor manager “Lynn” (hope the name is right). You were so relaxed and professional at the same time - wow!

We will carry this weekend in our hearts forever and will never forget this wedding ceremony at Blow and the party with DJ Danjo…. Whoop whoooop!

Not to mention the food - chapeau to the kitchen!!!!
