Lovano Kitchen and Bar — Restaurant in Veldhoven

We enjoyed an amazing dining experience at Lovano kitchen and Bar, and was the highlight of our trip to the Netherlands. The owner Marly recommended the “surprise menu” which did not disappoint. Each dish that came out was so delicious and creative and like nothing we have had before. Our favourite was the Japanese pannenkoek and the duck ravioli. We also really enjoyed the “flower flavour” cocktail and the whiskey sour. The ambience was lively yet intimate and we loved that we could see into the kitchen and watch the chefs expertly put the finishing touches on the dishes right before they came out to the table. The staff were lovely and you could tell that they loved to be there. Thank you Lovano kitchen and bar for a dining experience we will never forget. Cant wait...

The waiters were polite and friendly and the atmosphere was nice and cosy, we enjoyed that part. However, we weren't told about offer of the day; which was a 3 course dinner for special price ~ 16 eur on certain days. We ordered the dish of the day (flat fish). We got one bowl of fries & salad for three people, and the cost for fish was 30 eur, which is rather expensive for the quality & quantity that we got. Plus the price was not written anywhere visible beforehand and the most expensive dish in the menue was around 26eur for steaks, so we couldn't have known. Not child friendly. We live in the neighborhood and after having a heavy flu whole family me and my 2 year old daughter visited Lovano just to change the atmosphere. While waiting for our orders my poor sick little girl opened the curtain and touched the window. I saw the waiter coming with whole speed towards us with an unpleasant facial impression and told us that “That curtain is too expensive please tell her not to touch the windows”. I was shocked and left the cafe immediately. I dont think I will ever go...
