LOTS Helvoirt — Restaurant in Vught

We found the food to be far below average. The french fries were stale. The same taste french fries have the day after. I had a high quality steak (Tournedos) and when it arrived it was this greyish, dry and rubbery thing. The staff was very kind to give me another, better steak. However I had asked if they would prepare it on a pan (fry it), but it seemed to come from the oven, slighty flambeed to give it a hint of a crust. The taste was ok, but not what i asked for. The salad was soaked in balsamico and not fresh or washed properly. The hamburger was ok but more of a snackbar\fastfood level.

UPDATED!! Went back for round 2 and Lots DEFINITELY made up for the previous visit. I was contacted by the owner who expressed her sincere apologies & told me if I gave them another shot. She would make it right. They DEFINITELY did not disappoint. Their Spareribs were without a doubt the best I’ve had in Netherlands. I honestly would compare them to some of the best BBQ joints in Texas. The Chicken Sauté was nothing absolutely on point. As well as the fries. We were really excited about the pancake menu and the beautiful cozy ambiance. Unfortunately, even after being told we are vegetarian the waitress said nothing about eggs being present in the pancakes. Both our pancakes were very very greasy and left us uncomfortable for hours after our meal. Because of the oiliness from the pancakes, we left our portion of fries almost untouched.
