Nice place, nice staff, unfortunately the food was bland, poorly seasoned, children's food (fish and chips) on the verge of burning, my son refused to eat it. The salads were good and well seasoned, the main dish (for all 4 adults) was even more disappointing.The duck breast was rare, although the medium was ordered, tasteless cranberry sauce. The fish should have been 500g, it wasn't even raw 😉 it was well seasoned, unfortunately it came to the table cold. The steak with mushrooms and bacon was also poorly done, without a pinch of sauce, it smelled burnt (which was probably the fault of the missing sauce 😉, it was probably the one that got burnt in the pan.) the bacon was not even baked, rather reheated (I had the steak twice on table and it was pretty terrible in both cases) Despite the fact that we had a reservation, we waited more than an hour for our food. Or a restaurant in such a place, with such a rating, we expected significantly more.We have traveled almost all over the world, including for culinary experiences, but this is one of the bad ones. Found this place by happy accident while touring around Friesland. The location right by the sea is beautiful and the patio and garden are a perfect place to have a meal. Took a while for the food give the there was only 3 other tables. But the coffee was nice. The burger wasn't the best tasted like those wheat filled cheap burgers not real meat. Chips were ok but nothing to celebrate. But the bacon pancake was fantastic really well done. Bacon done to perfection. Bonus points for a gluten free options for desert which...
