Burger King — Restaurant in Waalwijk

Horrible horrible place - avoid !!

We came from the Efteling, being in the Netherlands we always treat ourselves to Burger King. But this might've been the last time.

This Burger King is difficult to find; the exit of the highway is quite awkward at first. When we came there and ordered, the receptionist was very eager to help but after putting in our order we saw the kitchen put the order of one of us in the microwave!! (microwaved wrapped burger, yum. NOT)

The other items we received were ok. The toys in the boxes were utterly uninteresting and uninspired. Before the children looked at it, some other people asked us if they wanted "another one of these batmans". The three children we had with us asked if they "could throw it away" when we left.

I quickly wanted to get another burger for on the road as I was still hungry. The order was put in quickly and then... people ordered, got their order. Time passed, while I stood there. The children finished up in the meanwhile, got through the "toilet before the road"-routine. My lady did the same. And they came trickling through, one by one, to stand there with 5 people. waiting for a burger. While other burgers, like I had ordered, kept being sent out. While my lady started to get irritated, she called out to the girl that had taken my money, and we got a dry "oh, there you go" while she reached over for the burger. That we now stood waited for quite some time and were being literally ignored.

Unacceptable. Avoid these people, they are lazy, unmotivated and don't value...

Not Even Worth 1 Star – Ruined a Special Day

This review is less about the 1-star rating and more about the sheer disappointment we experienced.

As a rare treat for a birthday celebration after a day at the Efteling amusement park, we chose Burger King Waalwijk because the birthday girl specifically wanted to eat there. Sadly, the experience was the opposite of "fast" food.

We waited nearly an hour for cold, limp fries and soggy burgers. They forgot the paid sauces, and the tables were so dirty that we had to clean them ourselves with napkins. The staff seemed completely unmotivated, which only worsened the frustration. After spending €50 (a significant amount for our family), we ended up throwing most of the food away due to its poor quality.

The real kicker? Broken promises. After contacting Burger King repeatedly via phone and email, a staff member from the Waalwijk location finally agreed (along with her manager) to issue a refund since we don’t live nearby to use a coupon. We provided our details, but over a month later, there’s been no refund, no response, and no accountability after several attempts to reach them.

This wasn’t just a meal – it was a rare splurge for a special day, and Burger King’s indifference turned it into a lesson in poor customer service. Avoid this location unless you enjoy cold food, special day ruined, chaos and...

Disappointing experience. The tables and floor are dirty and sticky. I went in the morning, we were about the first ones in but all the chairs (and the baby chairs) had crumbs and food on them - they were not cleaned from the days before. At the end of the meal we've tried to recuperate our 'statie geld' (warranty money) for the 3 cups. After more than 20 attempts, we've concluded that the machine didn't work. The employees knew that but let us to continue without caring. I asked the lady by the counter to help us and I showed her that one of the recipients had no qr code - thus impossible to scan even if the machine would be working. After our request, she paid us back the warranty money for the recipients. Conclusion: insalubre location, utilities not working, scam with...
