We visited this restaurant for a family lunch and were immediately impressed by the beautiful setting and tasteful interior. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we initially planned to enjoy the buffet. However, we quickly realized it wasn’t suitable for my elderly grandmother, so we opted for the à la carte menu instead.

One of our family members has a severe food allergy, which we communicated clearly to the staff. Although they assured us it would be no problem, we had to correct them multiple times throughout the meal. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, I strongly advise exercising extra caution when dining here.

For our main course, we ordered several beef salads. Unfortunately, they didn’t meet our expectations. When we raised this with the staff, the response was confusing. The waitress took the salads back, and the owner came to speak with us, acknowledging that the dish did not meet his standards either. As a gesture of goodwill, he offered us some items from the buffet while we waited for replacements.

However, shortly afterward, the waitress returned and contradicted the owner, implying that nothing was wrong with the original salads and that we shouldn’t expect significant changes. This left us unsure of what to expect.

When the salads were brought back, the only noticeable difference was the addition of a soup garnish—mint leaves and spring onion—which didn’t complement the Asian-inspired dish and felt out of place.

We spoke with the owner again, who suggested we help ourselves to the buffet instead. By then, we no longer felt like continuing the meal. He offered to remove the three beef salads from our bill, but when the check arrived, only two had been deducted. After a brief conversation, the final salad was removed, but by that point, the experience had soured.

While we recognize the staff made efforts to address the situation, the communication was inconsistent and ultimately left us disappointed. What was meant to be a special celebration sadly fell short of...

Ik vind deze review een lastige, temeer omdat ik dit restaurant het beste toewens. Het ligt in een mooi gebied, heeft een prima kaart, probeert nieuwe technieken zoals robots en tablet, en biedt een fantastische speelhoek voor kinderen zonder de sfeer van het restaurant aan te tasten. Wij zaten met onze kinderen in het boven gedeelte en kregen direct een aantal munten voor de speeltoestellen aangereikt. Geen gegraai dus naar extra euros en blije kinderen. Een prima start!

Maar door hun diversiteit ontstaan ook kwaliteitsproblemen, wat me toch heeft doen besluiten minder sterren te geven.

De bestel tablet werkt allereerst onvoldoende. Buiten de irritatie dat deze continu uitlogt en error berichten stuurt, moet ik hierop dus de drank bestellen, maar het eten bij de ober zelf. Daar moest ik zelf achter komen gezien ik alleen bitterballen aantrof op het menu. Ik bestelde dus een breekbroodje bij de ober, en drukte in haar nabijzijn op "bestellen" op de tablet voor de drank. Dat lijkt me niet heel efficiënt.

Maar ook het eten wisselt van kwaliteit. Mijn volwassen xl burger van 18,50 was lekker en kreeg ik met moeite op, door de 2 dikke hamburgers die op het flinke afgebakken broodje met kaas en sla lagen. Prima prijs kwaliteit. Mijn dochter daarentegen kreeg een kinderburger voor 9,50 waar zelfs de MC donalds zich voor schaamt. Een bruin, zacht bolletje van 10 cent met 2x 0,5cm dikke mini burgertjes. Een plakje Cheddar ipv tomaat was "helaas niet gelukt", garnering zoals frietjes zit er niet bij. Mijn jongste had een versier-zelf pannekoek, maar de versier waren ze vergeten. Voordat ik de tablet zover had dat deze een ober opriep om dit op te lossen, was de naturel pannekoek al koud. De cocktail van mijn vrouw werd helemaal vergeten, maar uiteindelijk na herinnering toch bezorgd. Haar eten daarentegen was goed.

Het zijn onnodige foutjes die te voorkomen zijn en die je snel opgelost wilt hebben. Maar door de haperende techniek lukt dat dan weer niet, en diezelfde techniek heeft waarschijnlijk ook de communicatie problemen richting de keuken veroorzaakt. Zorgt voor irritatie en is een smet op de avond.

Soit. Hebben we het naar ons zin gehad? Zeker. Komen we terug? Absoluut. Die speelhoek met klimdelen, airhockey, arcade toestellen etc is goud waard. Maar ik hoop met deze review toch een stukje kwaliteit verbetering te veroorzaken voor de...

After several pleasant experiences to this restaurant I've had to edit my review to an unsatisfying visit. We've made reservations for 6 + 1 child at 1730 on a Saturday. Arrived in an almost empty restaurant, so we were one of the first to order. But that didn't help much. It took over an hour for appetizers (bread) to arrive and 2 hours for the main courses. Only to find out the meals weren't freshly cooked (fries, schnitzel and fish tested like they've been sitting under a lamp for at least half an hour). I'm the same time our kid's bedtime had already passed for some time.

Our waiter had his 5th working day and was not yet prepared to be working without supervision.
