Restaurant Belmonte — Restaurant in Wageningen

A small committee went through the four-course meal at the Belmonte and I don't think anyone left without a smile on their face. The starter had a mix of things, but the basis was a loverly duck. The salmon was cooked just right, and the beef (the main) was just perfect. I don't think I've ever had a piece of beef as good ad that one. Lastly, the cheesecake desert was fantastic. The staff were great, explaining the courses we were having, and always made sure our glasses were full. It is a bit expensive, but...

beautiful view, nice atmosphere, we had lunch here and I enjoyed the many options for lunch and everything was tasty. the staff were friendly, but perhaps sometimes a bit unattentive but that's maybe because the terrace and the restaurant is very big so it's hard to cover all tables. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, I went there after my graduation and and I was happy i recommended this place...

Vandaag gegeten in het restaurant bij het hotel. Eten is gewoonweg vies en inspiratieloos, van de 5 gangen waren welgeteld 2 gangen lekker. Eend rilette was smakeloos, 1 brok vet en droog. Pompoensoep met room was gewoonweg niet te eten, ik proefde niets anders dan room. Zelfs peper en zout konden dit gerecht niet redden. Hoofdgerecht was voortreffelijk, sucade op verscheidene manieren bereid. Voor-nagerecht was echt een ramp, appel in een trappistenbier dat dus naar zilveruitjes smaakt in combinatie met zoete appel sorbet. Nagerecht daarentegen was wederom geweldig, een chocoladebombe met een gelei van roodfruit met iets van een heerlijke soort chocolade ijs. Daarbij was een sinaasappel chocolade mousse, die dit gerecht nog spectaculairder maakte.

Al met al een zeer slechte ervaring. Echter een manager die zich niet eens komt verontschuldigen en zijn personeel alles laat oplossen. Als goedmakertje krijgen we 10% korting en een goedkope fles met bubbels. Sorry maar zelfs met korting was het nog 130 euro, ze mogen zich schamen!!

Overigens niets anders dan lof voor het...
