Weerter Bazaar — Restaurant in Weert

The place is modern and stylish in decoration, also friendly to children. Prices are a bit steep for the style and quality of the kitchen. The restaurant is ideally located in the middle of town. Perfect for a quick meal.

Sadly though, quick is not possible at this place. We've visited twice. The first time we ordered just drinks. After 15 minutes our drinks still were not served so we ordered a second time with a second waitress. When our drinks still failed to arrive, we got up to leave. Our order then arrived, twice.

The second time we went there for a quick lunch. We ordered basic food which took 40 minutes and a complaint to arrive. To their credit, the staff apologized for the delay and our drinks were on the house, which is a nice gesture. To make things worse, the restaurant was swarming with flies, which is not very hygienic.

The quality of the food is reasonable but...

As the ‘grand’ in ‘grand cafe weerter bazaar’ suggests it’s a very spacious place. It’s very crowded though, since it’s in the centre. We only had something to drink here, so can’t say anything about the food. The employees were polite but since it was so busy they kept forgetting to come get our order so we had to wait for 30 minutes before we could order. After ordering the drinks got here fast. They have a variety of beers and special coffees. I ordered the coffee sweet vanilla. The presentation was nice. The taste was mediocre and the coffee was not very hot. I would give it a second chance since it looks like this place had a lot of potential, but for now I’m gonna give them 3 starts because the first experience was...

Ik en een vriendin besloten hier te gaan eten voor de lunch. We bestelden beiden een pannenkoek met spek. 4 plakjes spek op een grote smaakloze pannenkoek de we verdronken in stroop zodat het nog een beetje eetbaar was. Uiteindelijk hebben we besloten het niet op te eten omdat het gewoon niet te eten was. De service was ook slecht. Het duurde erg lang voordat we het gerecht kregen. Mensen die na ons besteld hadden kregen hun bestelling eerder en na de eerste keer drankjes bestellen werd er niet meer gecheckt of dat we nog iets hadden. De medewerkers stonden ondertussen alleen maar voor zich uit te staren met een verveelde blik. Alles bij elkaar zal ik hier dus nooit meer komen en raad ik het...
