The theme is literally everywhere. Outside on the playground and inside the restaurant. It's a bit hysterical, but that is what makes it great. Tables and floors which are moving. Children can interact with the moving parts. Also nice on a hot day. There are playgrounds with water, so good to cool down. Great for children to have fun! The food is okay, prices are a bit high (€15 for a pancake) but the atmosphere makes up for it. Also one pancake is enough for an adult. Some staff is very friendly and knows about the ingredients, other staff is just doing what they have to and find it hard to smile. You notice the shortage of staff, cause it may take a while before someone takes your order. In hot days there's also some eye candy for the adults, as the waitresses are wearing very short skirts and jeans. 😅 May be good to take some precautions for a wasp bite. At the terrace are wasps everywhere. We heard several children screaming cause they were stung. Downside is that some decorations are in great need of renovations and/or cleaning. Children are probably to busy playing too notice but for a theme playground I expect the decorations to be great and perfect. Overall great experience!

The playground is great for kids but we had a really bad experience with the restaurant's hostess/staff. We had initially booked an inside table at their restaurant at 1.45pm on May 29, but my 5 year old daughter got immediately scared with all of the inside decoration (there are 10+ different versions of Hansel & Gretel's witch, which my daughter found to be really scary). After trying to calm her down, and talk about it, it was impossible, and so we went to the hostess to request her if she could assign us an outside/terrace table, for which, from the very beginning, even without fully checking, she was unsupportive. I insisted that we could not stay inside, and that we would really appreciate if an unassigned table outside could be assigned to us, but she insisted that they were full. But that was not true, as I'm showing in the attached pictures (taken 15 mins after being denied a table because "they were full"). We had to get out and order to go, as my daughter almost had a panic attack, with no empathy from the restaurant's staff either. We traveled from Amsterdam to that place, so it was a bit more than 45 minutes of travel to end up having such a bad experience. I would advice you to reconsider traveling there if you have young children: fun playground, with average food and a nasty restaurant hostess (unsympathetic staff). Tough thing, considering there are no other lunch alternatives nearby, unless you bring your own food. Will not go there back again.

This place was recommended to us by a fellow camper in the local RCN Zeewolde campsite. Only 15 minutes up the road, it was a fantastic afternoon activity for us as a party of 4A and 5C (2-16yrs) Free parking with shade for our dog. We could have took him in but it was way too busy and he was more chilled in the car. You can visit without reservation. If you want anything off the menu eg: pancakes, then book a table. We had a drink - hot and cold and a cake from the bakery and some ice cream from in the restaurant. We had these without reservation. The play area itself is insane! Endless fun for all the family with swings, slides, bounce pillows, pedal kart track, climbing frames - the list could go on and on. If you want somewhere where the kids are going to be entertained for hours and perhaps a bit of down time for yourself with a coffee or a wine, then this is perfect. Cherry cheesecake gets my vote too 😋

very interesting establishment to visit if you are in the vicinity. It's so interestingly created ever since our childhood. Was told by the staff that it was a fairy tale created by the owners themselves personally. Food: To be honest, the food on the average side of the house. Nothing special, but portions are huge. (Refer to pics). The kids ice cream is not worth it at 5€ per scoop. Nothing special at all. But the ones that made it special are the movable chairs, floors, and figurines. The table will move around when you are having your meals. Service: would like to pay extra credit to our server, Eveline, for the kind and patience provided for us. Telling us the background, giving us some ideas and kept checking back on us to make sure we are doing fine... Thanks Eveline!

What a fun pancake house.. of course it’s not made from candy but the pancakes are thin and delicious with generous toppings.. if you are using public transport, it includes a 30 minutes walk into the nature and prep you for the food.. Heksenbillenkoek (pulled pork) and Stiekeme Heks (sweet pancake with whipped cream, almond shavings and cherry/chocolate sauce with orange bits) were the top.. then comes the Heks Leef Lang ( tomato, arugula and a creamy burrata with a basil pesto dressing), Vis uit de tovervijver ( smoked salmon, cream cheese with pickles) and Gevleugelde Heks ( chicken, bacon, mushrooms, cucumber) all with generous toppings and quite tasty tummy fillings.. Not everyone can speak English but the ones who can got confused when we asked for a recommendation..

This place is amazing. Located at a very quiet and peaceful city called Zeewolde, this restaurant plus children’s park is an amazing weekend getaway and also great for a brunch visit for those who stay in Flevoland. The restaurant menu offers various types of delicious pancakes, snacks, drinks and alcoholic beverages. We tried their cappuccino and chocomel for drinks, it was well done. We also ordered their Nachos which was really tasty. The place has a rustic charm to it and a huge play area for kids to play. They’ll love it. This restaurant also offers ample space for free car parking and they also had very clean restrooms. We went during spring of 2021 and enjoyed throughly. We’ll definitely come back with friends.
