Went here for dinner yesterday with a group of friends after boating. We were severed fairly fast, and the food and drinks were good.

However, a low rating, as I experienced the rudest server since moving to the Netherlands (many years ago). I asked where the toilet was to one of the younger servers working there with dark long hair. The response I got, was an absolute annoyed face, saying “over there “ in a very rude tone. I didn’t find the toilet and sort of laughed it off when I saw her, trying not to make a big deal. Again even more annoyed she looks at me, and says “I told you it was there!”. What world is this girl living in where she thinks it’s acceptable to respond to a customer that way. I’ve been a server myself and this is just absolutely unacceptable, and is good reason to be fired. I told her she should not be in service with that awful attitude. I could have complained to management but I didn’t want that to ruin my vibe further. Instead, I’ll leave that feedback here. Make sure to train your young servers, no matter how bad their day is going, to not mistreat your customers. Perhaps it was racism, because we all spoke English? Who knows, but...

We are staying nearby and thought this would be a nice place to eat, based on the reviews, so we booked a table. We were a group of 8 adults and 7 children. 2 people had entrees and they were delivered quickly. We all ordered main dishes and only half arrived. Then 10 minutes later the other half. The side dishes (which are shared for the table) also arrived much later - the chips were good, the salad was not. We had to follow up a number of times for missing items. Some of the table really enjoyed their meals. I tried the schnitzel and it was quite tough. The salmon I had was unfortunately overcooked and quite dry. The kids all enjoyed their meals and the trio fish and bouillabaisse were good A bit of a mixed bag, but below what I would expect...

The schnitzel was smaller than expected and unfortunately tasted rubbery. The hamburger was also very dry and hard to eat “yea, normal, it’s toast”. On the positive side, the spare ribs with BBQ sauce were good, and my friend really enjoyed them.

At the end, when asked for our opinion, I shared my thoughts honestly. The staff replied “why didn’t you say it when we asked?” .The problem is that my friend only noticed halfway through the meal that the pork schnitzel was pink inside, which can be a concern for food safety.
