We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Restaurant Witte Raaf. The food was truly exceptional – Persian cuisine full of rich flavors and high-quality ingredients. The use of saffron in the dishes gave everything a unique taste. We started with a complimentary appetizer, including delicious kashk-e-bademjan and olivieh, along with a small bowl of ash that was simply amazing. For the main course, we all ordered kebabs, and they were cooked to perfection – juicy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the tea we had at the end of the meal was excellent. The restaurant itself felt very classy, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. One thing that stood out was that many of the guests were not only Iranians but also Dutch and other internationals, showing how well-known and respected this place is locally. Overall, this was a top-quality restaurant experience – elegant, authentic, and truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy the best of...
Read moreThis was a wonderful Iranian restaurant with great atmosphere, good service, and excellent food. What I did not like was that the appetizers were chef’s surprise and we did not get to choose what we want. The taste of the appetizers were also different than the ones from the original recipes. However, the main dishes were fantastic. We had mix of all grills and they were all perfect. Both in terms of flavor and texture, the dishes were of the best Iranian main courses I have ever tried in the Netherlands. The location is quite remote and not accessible by public transport. Therefore, it is a bit more private. The dessert was Faloodeh-ice cream which was epic. I loved the generous chunks of pistachio and the combination of sour and sweet taste to give a wonderful contrast. It was quite surprising. I highly recommend this place to whoever interested in at least Iranian...
Read moreThe food was normal but highly pricey compared to the portion you are served. The ghorme sabzi was basically just some vegetables in water not rich in ingredients. In general, the place was not what I expected at all. We went there on Friday afternoon. while we were the only ones in the restaurant, they refused to give us a table with a better view for no obvious reason. Also the whole time we were sitting there the staff were moving tables and chairs and disturbed us with the noise. This is while they asked us to leave because they wanted to close for half an hour to open for evening again so they could have done moving tables in that closing time. The only thing I really enjoyed was the ayran (doogh). Not sure if I would go back to this...
