Wins Diner — Restaurant in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

I am the biggest fried chicken & chips connoisseur & I will try every place there is that sells this combo. My fav place hands down is Wins Diner, in the busy main strip of Dawson Rd shops. The crunch & flavour of their chicken thighs are top tier! Always so fresh & hot, even when I order via Uber Eats (which maybe a few times a week 😉). This place will always be my first choice every time I get that craving. My photo does not do it any justice but I assure you...

Bought a combo with it clearly stating it coming with ‘A Can of Coke’... and got given a Scweppes orange drink. When I asked for a different flavour the lady said “that’s all we have”.

On top of that the chicken burger had old lettuce in it and tasted poor. Chips and won ton stick were pretty bland as well.

Don’t waste your time...

Definitely seen better day's where cleanliness was was a thing. Now it's a dead and dirty environment. No so welcoming as it use to be many years ago. Selection of food has minimized a lot and taste just ain't the same. Prices went up but food...
