Nosh - Roadside Gourmet — Restaurant in Canterbury

Manager needs training when dealing with unhappy customers. I have recently had surgery and need to be careful with what I eat. We visited this establishment and I asked 3 questions to establish what was in 3 of the items in the cabinet . I selected a bagel , when I got to my table I realized they cooked breakfast so I asked if my bagel had been started , the server advised probably , I asked her to check which required her to turn 90 degrees . She rolled her eyes at me. I confronted her for doing this. At this point the situation escalated as the manager came out to ask what was going on . She had no interest in resolution front footing I have been listening and you asked a lot of questions , she was agressive and waving her hands in my face , no interest in the fact her server rolled her eyes at a paying customer. I had to walk away and take the higher ground to avoid this escalating further. To the owner please educate staff in customer service as I am entitled to ask what is in your food , also please educate your manager in conflict resolution as she does not possess the skills and...

Good food gets the two stars but poor service let's it way way down.

We stopped in on Sunday lunchtime Oct 2nd 2022 and were served by a very sour, upset rather big lady who forgot or order requirements, proceeded to miss things we ordered and overcharged us for the overall order! When I questioned if she was still making our missing items she told me "oh I missed them" without any apologizing or offer to rectify it. After asking can she please make them I was abruptly ignored! We then proceeded to watch her handle the next three customers is similar fashion making more errors and neglecting them. This gave the distinct impression was she didn't want to be there and had no interest in the customers themselves. You just got what you were given end of story.

An absolutely disgraceful attitude left me dumbfounded and not willing to return :( just a sad experience to an otherwise nice spot to break up...

Nosh used to be great, sadly it seems to have got worse and worse over recent years and has now reached the point where I won’t be back. We arrived at 11:30am, the cafe was not very busy. We ordered 1 order of corn fritters, two pies and a coffee. The coffee came promptly and was good, thank you. However, the corn fritters took over half an hour to arrive, and when they did they were hard and chewy and came with chips that had so much salt on them I had to brush it off before I could eat them. The pies didn’t arrive at the same time and when I asked if they were coming I was rudely told that “they were in the oven”, as if it was unreasonable of me to expect to get a pie in less than 30mins! Come on Nosh! Get a pie warmer like every other cafe in the country! A roadside cafe needs to prioritise getting food out in a timely manner and Nosh is woeful at this.
