The Woodend Tavern — Restaurant in Canterbury

This is the second time we have visited the Tavern. The first time the meal was very nice so we went back again. This time we both ordered the "Pork Belly " and eagerly awaited a mouth watering dish. What we got was not pork belly and resembled two pork chops stacked on top of each other. There was an abundance of roast potatoes but probably too many and more gravy would have been nice too as the pork was very dry. Hopefully this is not the norm as...

Waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food, only for the steak to be raw. More worried and concerned about serving the rugby boys than the other customers. Not once was there a “sorry for the delay” or “was your food okay”. If we hadn’t of paid beforehand we would of left considering the wait time and only 2 other people getting meals before us. Hugely disappointed and won’t be back . Rather spend $60 on 120 chicken nuggets...

Had a Margherita Pizza and the chicken bites over here and we were really surprised by it. The Margherita had sundried tomato and Pesto on it which added tons of flavour to it. The chicken was realy nice, tender & jucy - perfect fingerfood. Together with the lemon and the dips one of the best I've had! Thanks to Mace and the Team for beeing a Highlight in our trip around...
