Chilli Flakes Indian Restaraunt — Restaurant in Christchurch

After 5 years of custom, we will not be returning. Last night I ordered some take aways for dinner but when I got home I realized the children's meal was wrong. So I rang and the lady and she said she would deliver the correct dish in about 25mins. More than half an hour had passed so I rang again this time I spoke to another lady who said I had ordered the wrong meal and they wouldn't be delivering the right meal as we lived too far away and they were short staffed. So my husband and I drove the 6 mins back down the road to find the restaurant empty. After explaining we had been coming there for years and this is the first time they had got the dish wrong the chef finally came out and gave us the right dish. Unfortunately this was intended for another customer and was med hot, so my children could not eat it after we got it home. After this experience we will not be coming back. You misheard my order and you made me feel like it was my fault. I hope other customers do not have the same...

This restaurant is an absolute gem! The food is incredible and the hospitality makes it even better. The owner is one of the kindest, most genuine people I have ever met. He is so welcoming and humble, and you can tell he truly cares about his customers. The chili chicken was out of this world, perfectly spiced, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. The shahi paneer was just as amazing, rich, creamy, and made with so much love that every bite melts in your mouth. I also tried lamb anar masala and chicken Bhuna masala just loved every bite of that. I never ever had that kind of lamb in my whole life. Disappointing! Their website features an Order Online button, which takes you through to a Email Us page. So I emailed my order through and arrived at the chosen time to collect my order to be told that they don't take online orders, ' just order now'.
