Crafty’s Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Invercargill City

Most pretentious unaccommodating restaurant we've ever been too.. Had 1 person who was unable to eat all the prepared menu and they couldn't accommodate a change. Which was only making a salad and adding fries to a meal. We weren't asking for miracles mate, it was requested if the blue cod burgers could be plated as a meal with fries (that already came with the meal).

Again, pretentious and unaccommodating, discriminatory against disabilities now that I read your comment further.

Just like to point out Mara Moore was not part of our group. Don't know who that person is.

The truth is:

we asked if we could change the fish burger to a plated dish and the slaw or salad in the burger to be plated. .. And if possible an extra piece of cod could be cooked. We had 8 people yesterday. I don't understand how it was hard.

You said so yourself you had slaw .. the staff member stood in silence most of the time while we were trying to get her assistance to see what could be done. Everything was received with a no or silence, with no attempt to offer any guidance on what could be done. No attempt to ask the chef if anything was possible. So I suggested we go elsewhere. The next place we went to surely accommodated for some changes.

Asked for separate room for group of 15, ended up in main area with 2 separate tables! Absolutely the worst service I've ever come across!!! Nobody acknowledged us, didn't tell us to order at the bar...we waited and waited .. I myself went and got bottles of water and glasses for table, found the salt and peppers myself, food was reasonably good...but don't order wedges with cheese and bacon unless you like CHEESE SAUCE..Not real cheese. They never once asked how was the food, did we want more Drinks, and by the time they came back to take desert orders, there were only 4 instead of the 9 who were going to!! Needs a manager who knows how to run a restaurant..and be friendly..and smile 😃 and thank people for coming along... which we won't do...

Food is amazing! Awesome to have something different here in Invercargill. Unfortunatley the whole experience was let down by the customer service and the overall atmosphere of the place. Music was really quiet, staff made no small talk so it was very uncomfortable ordering drinks and standing there in silence waiting for them. Felt like we needed to rush and were told we had to be out by a certain time. There was only us and another table eating in there at the same time .... would of tried the dessert special if we werent told a time to leave. The list could go on. Place would be booming if someone sat down and spent time focusing on what the customer experience should look...
