Blue Hill Cafe is a must stop between the Waitomo Caves and Wellington! They offer an All Day Breakfast Menu!!! Lovely cafe supporting local artists’ works from prints to candles. With indoor and outdoor seating, it’s a lovely haven for your road trip! The chai latte hit the spot with delicious notes of cinnamon. The falafel salad was chock full of delicious ingredients with generous portions of falafel and avocado. Veggie Breakfast included a cheese stuffed tomato which highlighted the plate along with large portions of halloumi cheese. Finally treat yourself to a lemonade scone filled with light cream and flavorful, fruity jelly to motivate you for the road ahead. Thank you Blue Hill Cafe for being a beacon for coffee lovers, foodies, and road trippers!

Impromptu brunch with hubby and 1yo while the older kids were on a sleepover, so off to Blue Hill cafe for our first taste. The staff were very friendly and very accomadating. Gave us a half portion of French toast and fruit for our little boy. I can't wait to go back and try a full sized French toast for myself. Looked scrummy. Lovely coffee (although I may be biased as any coffee that's the first of the day is a good coffee) ☕ The Blue Hill Big Breakfast was just that. The sauteed mushroom and cherry tomatoes were a lovely note, poached eggs were perfect and you can never go wrong with bacon. Will be back again next time we're free of our older kids again.

I actually drove past it, noticed it at the last minute and turned back. Pleased I did. Lovely lady with a cute smile. Grabbed a coffee and a cheese scone. Both delicious. Wish I could have stayed longer and savoured the morning but I was in a rush. Cheese scone enormous and tasty with butter. None of these mini scones you get in the cities. Well worth a visit. (Edit) back again. Great customer service. Always happy to see you. Added some pics.

This cafe was certainly an unexpected treasure, found. The food in the glass cabinet were mouth watering to look at and could be a struggle to narrow down to one option and with large portions, it is easy to share. I ordered a Breakfast Burger and because we only ordered one meal, they asked if we were sharing. It arrived on separate plates, both beautifully presented, and tasted better than it even looked. It was so delicious! Coffee was great and the service was quick and especially friendly!! Definitely worthwhile stopping here...
