Had breakfast here both days while we were staying at Cape Palliser. Excellent cafe, great food and coffee. If this were in Wellington it would be one of the ‘popular’ cafes in my opinion. Lovely staff and scenery, sitting outside while the local economy goes on around you. For some reason this page suggests it is Cash only. They definitely have eftpos. Great playlists also- let me know if you have them on Spotify to share! Thanks

A small aesthetically pleasing cafe and gift store. Friendly staff. Little options for the food selection but there are all so good in every bite! The steak and cheese pie was the highlight. They have the indoor and outdoor table to chill and enjoy the vibes there. Love the atmosphere! Great place to hang out with friends and family. They also sell clothings, organic stuff, souvenirs, and vintage stuff. Worth the visit!

Best pie I’ve had in New Zealand! Love the shabby chic vibe, retail shop and an option to sit in the enclosed cozy verandah space. Service is friendly and toilets are nice and clean. Will definitely come back and make this place a must stop destination during our out of town trips :)

Professor McFussy and I along with four others were looking for coffee and light meals. The look of the place was rustic, the service friendly and efficient. A minor mix up in the orders was quickly rectified and very soon we were all enjoyed the fare. The custard doughnuts were a favourite and toasted scones another winner. Well worth the journey. An interesting aside. There were young cattle close by quite happy to be in a photo should one wish to take a selfie with...

Really welcoming and quirky little cafe. The coffee was good, and the food looked great too. The staff were friendly and served with a smile. You'll find all sorts of locally made crafts and gifts, ranging from greeting cards and tea towels, through to scarves and a range of women's clothing. There are books to read for both young and old, and sofas if you want to get cosy. If I didn't live on the opposite end of the earth, I'd go to this...

Stopped here with a group.for brunch after a few days on Cape Palliser coast. I had read great reviews about The Land Girl and it deserves high praise. Its full of character and ambience. Apart from great food options, excellent coffee and welcoming staff, it also stocks locally produced giftware, clothing etc. Its refreshingly different to the ‘bog standard’ cafe and is a must stop if travelling in the beautiful...
