Professor McFussy and I along with four others were looking for coffee and light meals. The look of the place was rustic, the service friendly and efficient. A minor mix up in the orders was quickly rectified and very soon we were all enjoyed the fare. The custard doughnuts were a favourite and toasted scones another winner. Well worth the journey. Really welcoming and quirky little cafe. The coffee was good, and the food looked great too. The staff were friendly and served with a smile. You'll find all sorts of locally made crafts and gifts, ranging from greeting cards and tea towels, through to scarves and a range of women's clothing. Stopped here with a group.for brunch after a few days on Cape Palliser coast. I had read great reviews about The Land Girl and it deserves high praise. Its full of character and ambience.
