Popped over to Masterton on a Sunday and the first two cafes we wanted to visit were closed. Ended up going to this cafe in Mitre10 (thanks to the entertainment book). Expectations weren’t high, but the food and coffee were great. Super tasty and great portion size. Outdoor setting was really nice. Price was a little up for a hardware store cafe, but it’s not really a convenience cafe like most hardware stores have, but a fully featured cafe that just happens to be in a hardware store. Definitely recommend giving it a shot if you are in Masterton. In store kids play area is right beside the cafe too, which is handy.

I had the eggs benedict with bacon. It consisted of dreamy eggs that were a runny consistency of perfection. A glistening hollandaise dancing across the plate. I had a delicious potato base instead of muffins which elevated it to another level. The bed of spinach was a nice touch to give it some freshness and pop of colour. The Mango smoothie was like a dream. It was refreshing, delicious and cold on a scorching hot day. The staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! Highly recommend for a pleasant breakfast.

Worst breakfast ever asked for soft eggs they still had slime and the yolk was totally cooked and blue, bacon was almost raw and tomatoes were green the potatoes hash not even cooked through whic should be golden not still white.. the bread was cheap $1 bread not anything like the picture.. had better breakfast at a cheap side road bakery and at a cost of $28 would expected better

My biggest complaint would be to do with the extra charge you have to pay to have your food heated.... I don't see why you should need to pay EXTRA money to have food heated as it's obvious some of your food would not be eaten unless its heated... some of the food here is already expensive enough let alone for people to be charged extra to heat the food they already paied alot for... the worst part is you don't even TELL your customers about the extra cost at the counter at least have the courtesy to let people know that every food item heated is a extra cost??? I find it ridiculous to futher charge people to heat their food. I have never seen this at...
