Great cafe. Found this place as a result of advice from a frequent visitor to Te Kuiti.and to this place; she loves her coffee and highly recommends this cafe for coffee.

Located on the bypass, near the north end, on the west side of the road. Parking in front, and extra space for parking at the rear beside the reserve. The reserve creates a superb outlook for eyes tired from the road, especially from the outdoor tables.

Our group had a variety of meals for lunch, all well received. Pumpkin and feta quiche I enjoyed with a nice relish. Others had fish and chips, chicken pie, hot chips etc.

Talking to the waitress revealed that commendably she had been taken on without skills and trained up for her role including as a barista. Seems to be a forward thinking owner employing local people with a refreshing mix of ethnicity.

Cafe is well ventilated with a nice cross breeze inside, and outdoor area tables at the back away from road noise. Our visit was peak summer holiday period and the cafe was full. We were warned of a 15 minute wait on the food, so children walked in the park till food arrived at the advised time.

This cafe has s lot of important...

I went here 4 years ago. It was great. I want here today, Easter Sunday , and it was abysmal. Granted we ordered poached eggs and bacon, oh so clearly not the house speciality. But if you are offering it for sale, it better be good. And the acid test of any chef, restaurant and suppposedly good cafe, is their ability to cook an egg. Three of us ordered poached egg. Three of us received lukewarm hard bolied poached eggs. Two of us ordered bacon. The bacon wasn't even proper bacon, it was the reconstituted crap you get at the worst cafes in nowheresville. The coffee was burnt. The toast? Barely warmed up chunks of ciabatta. And for this? You charged me $80? We had been driving for hours, this was our well deserved half time break. You were busy for Easter? Diddums. Staff it in accordance with the custom you are receiving. This was catering cynicism of the highest order, and I want...

review on behalf..

So a maori family of four arrived to this cafe sunday morning 28th August and dined in The energy the family received was disturbing as they ordered. The staff onsite were rude , arrogant and outright disrespectful secondly they asked the family to sit outside which was okay with the family. They recieved their food 50mins after placing their order which was cold A group that ordered after the family received their meal/s before the family The eggs were like rubber and once the staff brought out the parents food they had to wait another 15 mins for their childrens food. Family felt attacked and belittled due to one of them having a moko kauae (traditional Maori tattoo)

Would never...

Was such a disappointment. Went because our favourite (Tiffanys) was packed because it was Running of the Sheep day. Chose pot of tea and a Chicken and Bacon Sausage Roll from cabinet. The tea was good but the Sausage Roll was neither chicken nor bacon. It had been microwaved so the pastry was a mix of soggy on top and really hard to cut through on bottom. The sausage just tasted more like soggy cardboard. It did come with salad which was so limp I felt it was leftover from day before. And usually you get a little dish of homemade chutney on side but no. I got a smear of tomato sauce across the plate. I just walked out feeling what a waste of money that was.

The food was good! We ordered Belgian waffle with bacon and grilled banana, Seafood Chowder, Big breakfast and Grilled Salmon fillet. The coffees and chocolate drinks were good too. We finished everything! Even my eldest daughter was wiping down the remaining sauces of her food with her finger. She said it was finger licking good! I liked that we can bring our dog at the back as they have a nice deck with a couple of benches and tables. It was a good stop in between Auckland and New Plymouth.

Boscos offers a welcoming atmosphere that's both comfortable and refreshing, perfect for a break during a long drive. We visited mid-morning on a Saturday and found the service to be excellent, with a wide range of breakfast and lunch options on the menu. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available, depending on the weather. The pancake stack was delicious, and the toasted sandwich, presented with a small side salad, was a nice touch. I’ll definitely stop by again on my travels.
