Julians Berry Farm and Café — Restaurant in North Island

Went to Julian's Berry Farm today situated between Awakeri & Whakatane. What a wonderful family orientated place to take the family. My partner myself & my 2 daughters ordered a different flavoured berry icecream very delicious! They have alot of activities for the children & adults to enjoy very relaxed atmosphere + a lovely cafe. You can pick your own berries when in season. If you feel like a nice cool icecream & happen to be in the area give Julian's Berry Farm a go you won't be disappointed! We will definitely be back! 😎👍

Really nice ice cream fun place, maybe it was just the rush of Christmas and the weather but when your paying $16 for a punnet of strawberries and travel from Rotorua to have a fun day out and get some berries for the Christmas table you would expect the strawberries to be of good quality. But no unfortunately our 2 punnets had alot of insect and rotten strawberries in the punnet when i asked the guy if it would be worth us going and picking them he said no they had picked the front half of the strawberries. We went and picked some aswell and they were either rotten or not ripe and the second field was blocked off. The blue berries were algud though i just expected more from the strawberries for the price. Ruakura had punnets that were bigver for $12 and no rotten ones. Customer service was nice and so were...

Spotted this place on our way into Whakatane, and promised everyone that we would stop in here on our way out the next morning. It was mid morning when we arrived to find that the place was absolutely packed with families eating, drinking, playing and picking fresh berries from the patches. This venue certainly has a lot of value added wares to sample and purchase, and it’s no surprise that they appear to be doing very well. It’s a large open space, with plenty of parking, spacious buildings, and tons of seating areas outside, plus lots of kid friendly things to do.
