Freshest mussels from the Firth of Thames, this restaurant was like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, a reward for anyone surviving the arduous 309 Road, or a last meal before going on it. The place was clean, service was prompt, and the prices fair. I had a 1kg pot of mussels, steamed with white wine and saffron. It was accompanied with chewy, flavourful sourdough, complementing very well with the rich mussel broth. Fish in a bag was a tasty, non-shellfish option for those wishing to dine in here.

Traveled to Coromandel from Auckland for my birthday yesterday and stopped by Minos Mussel Kitchen for lunch. We ordered the 1kg pot of steamed mussels with cream and white wine (delicious), sashimi slides (omg yum) and the Saganaki prawns (so nice!). Everything was fingerlicking good. If I had more space in my tummy I would have ordered the oysters too. Staff were great, ambiance was great. Would definitely dine here again.

Came here to get some lunch. I ordered the 1kg Thai Curry Mussle pot. This was excellent and was very tasty and fresh. There was a very generous amount of mussle within the pot and it came with a very tasty broth. The staff here were also very friendly and the atmosphere of the place was great. Overall I would recommend coming here.

UPDATE: The pizza arrived after 1.5hr! 2 tables left without their food, several tables asked multiple times where the food was. No one is happy. I gave a bonus star as the pizza itself was great. We should have been told when placing the order that the wait would be well over 1hr!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: We've waited over 1hr for food (one pizza) to come out... nothing yet. The place only has 6 customers are one of them just got a refund and left as they were sick of waiting. Food might be great... who knows. But I'm certainly sick of waiting as is...
