Unfortunately was very hit & miss. They were quite busy, so that probably didn’t help. My Thai green curry and another party members seafood chowder was really good. The two party members who got the pork belly both said it tasted strange, and the potato’s had been well over cooked so weren’t edible. The chicken burger was cold, the bun was slightly stale, the bacon (for some reason) smelled and tasted like fish and the chips were really soggy. The chips on the surf and turf and rump steak were also incredibly soggy, and the rump steak was undercooked on one end(should have been medium rare), and well over cooked at the other, the steak was also dripping blood over the soggy pile of chips it was placed on. Overall, we...

Awesome place. Was down from Whangarei for a week, whanau in NP booked a table & took us here & we loved it. Great kai, great atmosphere, super friendly staff waiting the tables. Everyone on the booze or dining were happy so it set the scene. Kids no problem & clearly welcome, as with all pub eateries though you’d decide what the tempo is like at the time before taking young kids in. Great location hidden away from city. Thanks for the night, please thank your friendly & on point staff, & next time down in Taranaki we will...

We booked on for a nice family evening of celebrations but as we approached, in our car, about 1/4 kilometre away, we heard loud music, someone singing off key. Going into the restaurant the music and singing was atrociaous and very loud. I tried to tell the staff our concerns and the noise but she couldn't hear me. I them quickly cancelled our booking pointing out that they had lost a regular client and a great deal of money because of us not now dining there. We haven't been back and have advised or friends not to support the...

Brought my Grandma in for dinner, it was a cold rainy Taranaki evening but we had the most devine time! Seated outside under the warm patio heaters, we were absolutely welcomed by our server Scott and his great hospitality and customer service. Made our night truly memorable! The food was delicious and the drink (Lemon, Lime and Bitters!) was served timely and with sensational taste! An awesome evening!

Visited mid Saturday afternoon so kitchen was closed but cabinet and bar food available. Wedges were reasonable and nicely presented, nachos were underwhelming for price. Asked twice for water and staff seemed a little uninterested in serving us. Great iced drinks and booth was nice and cosy. Have previously had good meals and service here so would go back, could have just been one of those days.

Thoroughly enjoyed my massive Beef Burger and Criss Cut fries, outside area for if you have noisey kids like we did was great, there menus and crayons also help to keep the kids busy momentarily. Friendly Waite staff, and a nice cosy warm atmosphere, aside from my meal you 'Must' try the cheece cake with chocolate cake bass mmmm.
