It's Bluff oyster season again but at $60 for a meal, I wanted to make sure I went somewhere I could trust to cook them nicely. This place has a bit of old fashioned suburban pub vibe - formica topped tables, happy families dining, friendly staff - I'd bet many people are regulars. After this visit, I'll be back. There was a fair amount of crunch on most of the chips, but being quite small, they weren't all that fluffy on the inside. The oysters were very good, without being the best I've had - prefer a lighter batter with crunch, but they were well cooked. A Panhead XPA washed things down nicely.

What a find! We wondered why it was so busy on a Monday night, until we got our meals. This is pub food at its best. Great food, beautifully cooked and reasonably priced. My blue cod had crispy batter, with moist, generous fillets inside. Couldn't fault it. If you're in Dunedin and want food like it used to be, try the Concord Inn.

Our 1st time trying Concord. We ordered the seafood basket, sausage/ eggs & chips & the porterhouse steak and for pudding the mud cake & the lemon sponge. Steak was cooked to perfection, generous serving of 3 sausages & eggs and the seafood was demolished quickly. The peas, chips and salad were just the right amount and flavorsome. The mudcake was delicious but the star of the night was the lemon sponge. If you enjoy lemon this is your desert. A good sized piece that was infused with lemon with a creamy lemon drizzle. I don't normally do desert but I made myself finish this. It was so good. Great friendly service and credit to the chefs. For a busy night, our wait time wasn't long between ordering and eating. Will...

Went for lunch on a Friday. Place was about 70% full. I had a rump steak and it was a bit to much grissle on it but for the $22 about what you can expect. Had salad and chips with it. The way the salad was done was not what I like. I prefer the lettace and usual on top. This was like a salad with some veg and all mixed in a dressing. I should have had the fish. It is caught on the day and great. Super fresh and nice chips. I will stay with that...
