Road Runners Cafe — Restaurant in Rodney

Not sure about this one. Very friendly and obliging owner operator. The breakfast sizes were a tad small. No 1 Son ordered pankakes & bacon, he got just one pancake - leaving him still hungry. No 2 son had waffles with fruit, he got one waffle (the shape and size of which was very similar to what you get from a Warehouse waffle maker) and a bowl of chopped fruit. No 2 son commented to us the fruit tasted funny, and indeed it did. It had been salted (to stop it going brown) and was quite unpleasant. On taking the fruit back, the staff were apologetic and made another fresh lot.,.. it took a little while, and we suspect they ducked out to get some items to complete the dish. Coffee was passable. Family consensus on this one is that they could do better. So just an "OK" rating...

Incredible. Saturday morning just been in to get a coffee as line at wild bean long, support another business only to be told no can’t take your order too busy. Cabinet food looked like yesterdays with very little sad selection. Woman behind counter then proceeded to tell me how many coffees she had to make and breakfasts to cook. At which point I left. If I had been told will be 10 mins sorry bit busy I would have waited. Always a right way and a wrong way to deliver a message. Roadrunner really need to have a good look at themselves in regards to quality presentation and customer services. Def won’t go...

I ordered a long black to have at the cafe with side of pouring cream. I got a take away long black filled to the brim with pouring cream and no call out that the coffee is ready after 15 min. Granted it's the busiest time of the year but with 3 people in the cafe it should not be hard. I should have just had my coffee from the bp as always. Two stars purely for the old lady who greeted us warmly and was busy cleaning and multi tasking and 0 for the lady taking orders N...
