Our stay at Cork and Keg was a delightful blend of comfort and indulgence. The apartment-styled rooms provided a cozy retreat, offering both the convenience of a motel and the homely feel of an apartment. The thoughtful design and attention to detail made our stay truly enjoyable.
The pub itself was a hidden gem, boasting a diverse selection of craft beers that catered to every palate. The friendly staff's recommendations added a personalized touch to our beer-tasting experience. What's more, the proximity to local wineries made it an ideal base for exploring the region's vineyards, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay.
Cork and Keg Pub & Motel is more than just accommodation; it's a destination where comfort meets craft, making it the perfect choice for those seeking a relaxed getaway with a touch of sophistication. Cheers to a memorable stay in a place that truly understands the art of...
Read moreAt the age of 65, and having eaten at countless pubs, cafes and restaurants all around the world, of all grades and price ranges, I can honestly say that this was the first (and hopefully only) time that I have refused to pay for a meal. Besides having to wait nearly an hour for the meals to arrive, the so-called chicken curry was inedible. Even out of a packet would have been superior. The excuse was that the chef was off sick. Well empty, flippant apologies with a smirk and an attitude, won't cut it. We were the only food order when placed, and others who came later were served before us. How hard can it be? My recommendation is avoid this place, and get a take-away from Renwick Takeaways if you need...
Read moreThe cork and keg has always had a comfortable and cosy atmosphere, but the meals have always been over priced unfortunately, and since they lost thier chef a while back, they quality of the meal isn't worth the menu now.
We went for dinner, paid the same price for a steak at one of the higer end restaurants around town, it came out and was bland and tough, and only the thickness of my pinky. Even the mushroom sauce was extremely bland, no salt, pepper or even butter could be tasted in it. And the beer was flat to finish it off. The pizzas also, have always sounded great on paper, but when they come to the table, are disappointing in appearance and flavor.
This cosy wee pub has great potential, but needs a manager or owner who can bring the right kind of cook to...
