Absolutely rude woman behind the counter, rode in from Christchurch with a mate of mine and decided to browse around for lunch. Regrettably stopped into this place to look at the menu and use the toilet facilities. As I came back out from the toilet my friend was sitting down looking at the menu as I joined him we both read the menu. The lady was eyeballing us the entire time and suddenly questioned us if we were going to "get anything". We eventually decided to find another place as the food wasn't appealing. As we stood up and thanked the lady she then derisively said "Oh! So you just came in here to use the toilet! There's a public toilet down the street!" Read moreCan not say enough great things about this place. We stayed down the street a few nights and got to experience this place a couple times. Their food is amazing, service is excellent and did I mention the pavlova!

On the way out of Reefton we were turned around in the pass as there had occurred a fatal motor accident. We had a 200km detour down to Greymouth to get to our B&B in Westport. Arriving at about 20:30. Our host phoned around and found Donaldo's still open. We were welcomed for a meal of their Pork Roast of the day, piled high with spuds 'n veg washed down with a local beer (name escapes me, but it was bliss). Thanx, mate, it was a welcome hearty meal after the snacks eaten thru' the day. Cheerful staff and host, good vibe. In my next life when I'm in your neck o' the woods I'll pop in again. Oh, we're from...
