I don't know where to start. We took a tour of the vineyards and it was an amazing experience. Right from booking the tour (we are from NYC so we had to do it via emails) to taking the tour - they make it very easy and informative. Viv took us around and showed us the plantation. The grapes were too young for us to try so that was something I missed out on. But Viv took us to the cellar where they keep the wine in the barrels to age. She gave us a tasting of different wines right from the barrel and that was a very informative way to learn about the maturing process. She also gave us an overview of the bottling process but since it was on a Sunday she couldn't show us that part. Now on to their wine - I thought their wines are the best in the region. I bought a bottle of 2016 Pinot Noir but I came back after trying other wineries in the region for a Thomas Brothers Pinot Noir. Their Chardonnay was good. Their Rose was great too - the hue was perfect and it made for a great summer wine. I wish I could buy a bottle of each and carry...

Hands down the best meal I have had in NZ since moving here in March. We had the long lunch and it was incredible value given the exceptional quality of the food- the chef is fantastic and so creative without missing the mark and staying true to the food. The wonderfull staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best memorable experience at the beautiful winery. From the thoughtful kids lunch box of a cute toastie, fresh strawberries, cookie and yoghurt with a rhubarb "fairy" water to the way they took their time to explain the wines, the food and the winery itself. They happily catered for one plant based guest, didn't mind when we moved outside and were just generally lovely, happy and helpful staff. We will be back again, it's the perfect place to spend a Sunday. My only feedback would be to perhaps put a giant wooden game or some colouring for kids out on the grass but maybe they don't want it over run with children as it was really peaceful. Thanks guys and see you...

Laid back outdoor seating at long tables with more refined seating options indoors. The food was bold and perfectly balanced, showcasing some of Canterbury's finest produce - impeccable! It was well priced, with a wine match for five courses included in the $89pp. We had outstanding service from very attentive and knowledgeable staff. We walked away perfectly full wondering how quickly we could justify returning. With a menu that changes each week it will be hard to stay away in fear of missing out on more incredible food! From talking with the staff it sounded as though bookings for weekends are essential but you might have some luck walking in on a Thursday and Friday. Which ever way you go, I'd highly recommend finding an excuse to get out to...

The atmosphere was fantastic, I loved the open lawn and the bean bag set up I wish I managed to get that seat however the table we got was still good enough to enjoy the atmosphere. We went for wine tasting but wanted a bite. The food was good, my constructive criticism is that they should tell us how to order because I had no clue how much to order or the portion sizes- I was 2 sliders away from good but didn't want to reorder and wait. The service was soo good. The young host explained her work during this vintage and loved the details ; we really enjoyed her passion for wine making. I also loved the way they point to where its grown and why their wine taste the way it does. Its a pretty awesome service.

The best natural wines I've ever imbibed and the best prepared dishes we've tried on either island of NZ. The Pinot Gris, Erin's Chardonnay, and Resiling Late Harvest dessert wine were phenomenal. The lamb tartare and salad dressed with anchovy dressing, parmesan, and toasted rice were two of the best dishes we've had in-county. The grounds and staff were so fully exceptional and luxuriously pleasant that leaving brought sincere tears to my eyes. If only all humans and all natural wines were so awesome, the world would, I deed, be a better place. I hope to return soon and often. Thank you for an amazing last stop in our 3 week tour of your amazing islands.
